BUY THIS VACUUM! ATE POOP AND STILL WORKS PERFECTLY! Ok so I bought this vacuum in January because my old Roomba sucked and I wanted a robot vacuum that did not have a mop. I could already tell it was much better/quieter than my old Roomba. Then in April my dog pooped on the rug and since I had it on the automatic clean the robot of course ate the poop. Since I wasn't home my kids tried to clean it up but did not do a good job and there was pooped dried and caked on it when I came home. I literally washed/scrubbed this vacuum in the sink without even taking the battery out because I thought it was done for. I let it dry out for a few days and when it finally dried it worked fine. It is still going 2 months after the event, and I did not have to buy a new robot. It cleans great too! Definitely worth it. ... show more

This is a very good product for the price. I love watching it wandering around my living areas. It goes in a grid pattern. I had a lot of trouble getting started with it, as I live alone, and no one wanted to help me. But Shark phone support is exceptional and I managed to get it going. I wasn't interested in mapping my rooms because I know a few people who never use theirs because they put off the job of programming it. I just let it wander and its sensors turn it around if it bumps into something. It did a very good job on my carpeting. If it gets too stuck I just pick it up and re-position it. I love how, when I turn it off, it finds its way back to its home base. I don't care that I am not using its' "smartness". It cleans my carpets, and provides a wee bit of amusement. ... show more

The vacuum/mop robot itself is fine, but the mobile app (how you interact with the robot)? good luck. It currently won't join the wifi when i'm copy/pasting the info from my phone which is connected to said wifi so yes, the credentials are right. I've had it for about a year so why would i need to be joining it to my wifi now? because this is the 100th time i've had to "reconnect" the app to the robot and basically set it up from scratch. There is a schedule function which i use so every morning it does the task, and, outside of a weird "scheduled for 10am, started at 9am" problem it seems to run consistently enough. One of the selling points is the idea of spot cleaning rooms/locations and so outside of the schedule run, if i try and manually tell it to go clean in any capacity -- vacuum, mop, spot, whole house, whatever, it just wont. You basically have to factory reset it every time you want to interact with it to change anything or try and get it to run outside of a schedule. As i write this, amazon seems to be "auto-tagging" my response, and right now it has "connectivity" and "smooth operation" with green checkmarks as if it's a positive aspect of the product... it isn't. ... show more

I love it I do. But don’t for one second think after you set this up you own your house. It will be in charge. Furniture: it will decide where it goes Some days it will go under, some day it will get stuck under. Rugs: some days no problem others, they are a cliff and it will not go on them. You are home: all it will do is attack you, loves hide and seek so don’t even try. Cords: ha! If they touch the ground Sharky will pull them out of the socket Throw blanket it’s favored food! Stairs: stairs are a cliff and Sharky will tell you no I’m not moving at all now that I’m close or some days it will have enough and throw itself down them. Anything on the floor: I mean anything it will try to eat it and get stuck. Rug stuck - you leave a 1” thick pipe it will climb on top of it - multiple times. Children drop crumbs Sharky will ignore if it did that area already, kids drop a sock, the second it touches the ground Sharky will stop in its track and b-line right for it, and get stuck and scream. String/yarn will get tangled and you will need to take apart Sharky and get it out of every crevice- honestly don’t even bring string, rope or yarn into your house. If you spill something it will rub it onto everything - mostly things you love it knows. Don’t buy juice. Some days Sharky is a little angel, other days nothings changes and Sharky is making some god awful sound. Kinda like Chewbacca, and than will die dramatically on that spot May leave marks on all furniture at its hight. Pros. It will pick up all the crumbs - dust bin fills up fast. And honestly I never have to vacuum anymore. And Sharky lets me stay there so we cool. I’m going to buy another. ... show more

This robot vacuum has been doing a wonderful job keeping up with the mess in our house. We have a Golden Retriever and a cat, so there’s plenty of pet hair, plus dust and food from the baby. We have it run every night and it does a great job picking everything up. The dustbin does fill up fairly quickly with all the pet hair, so we need to empty it often, but that feels like a reasonable trade-off for how well it cleans. I also really like the adjustable sound settings, the mapping works well and being able to change the direction it cleans gives us more control over how it runs. I went back and forth deciding on if it was worth it to have a robot vacuum for at least over a year. I researched, added them to my cart, deleted them from my cart and did that over and over. Finally, after my husband asked if all I did was vacuum, I decided that I at least needed to try one. With 3 indoor dogs and 3 cats and 2 year old twins, it was hard to keep up and maintain a clean floor. Let me tell you, I run this 1-2 times a day and it fills the little dust bin every single time. The mapping is great, I haven’t had any issues with WiFi connectivity, and I love that I can manage it from my phone. It’s sturdy, the wheels are large and it hops up and down off of my rugs no problem. Once it maps, it goes everywhere it needs to go every single time. It isn’t super quiet but it’s not noisy either. I own a rechargeable Shark vacuum as well and I would say it’s a little quieter than that one. I do vacuum with my normal vacuum maybe once a week but the fact that I can keep on with my normal busy days while “Bruce” is running around cleaning my floors, is amazing. I have owned this for a couple weeks now, so if I do run into issues, I will update my review. ... show more

    • Hoped for better; but not bad

It’s ok. The shark roomba robot helps keep the house more manageable for me but: - months later I’m realizing it’s really noisy - after seeing a roomba and its intelligent mapping — the shark is a toddler at best. Bumps into things, can’t figure out that it’s a moveable chair leg so maps that is permanently not a spot to go, no way to override. - correcting or adding to the floor plan map is a nightmare - and like all robot vacuums… pray to the higher ups that your dog doesn’t poo as it’ll run it over and smear everywhere (but like I said, that’s a robot vacuum general issue). Overall, glad I got the mopping feature for our home but not sure I’d get this again. ... show more
