Just got this gem of a vacuum cleaner and love it already. I am a big fan of anything Shark-Ninja and this vacuum cleaner, small as it is, delivers on it's promises. Light weigh and has all the suction of a much larger vacuum cleaner. I love, love love it and would recommend this to anyone who is tired of pushing around a heavy vacuum and getting a backache from it, then try this little baby. The only drawback is it doesn't stand by itself, but it leans quite nicely and lies quite nicely wherever you put it. I am very happy with this Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Vacuum. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and does an excellent job picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair from both carpets and hard floors. The swivel steering makes it easy to clean around furniture and in tight spaces. One of the things I like most is how powerful it is for such a compact vacuum. It has strong suction and easily converts into a handheld unit, which is perfect for stairs, upholstery, and quick cleanups around the house. Assembly was simple, and the vacuum is easy to store because it doesn't take up much space. For the price, the performance is outstanding and compares very well to much more expensive models. I like Shark vacuums. This one is a little awkward as it doesn’t stand up on its own. You can detach the upper section to make it be portable—but it makes it top heavy when it’s connected. It’s very lightweight so I’m able to handle it okay. Would not be good for someone who has a disability. I decided to keep it mostly because I wanted to use it right away and didn’t want to wait to get a different one. UPDATE: 11/11/25. I need to update. I was WRONG about the stand. I was looking for another one since they are on sale right now and DISCOVERED THAT Shark has added a stand to this item and the Pro. I am delighted so I BOUGHT A SECOND ONE TODAY for upstairs! Now, I can donate that old XXX heavy vacuum. Thank you, Shark! j c I bought this vacuum in May 2025, and I am sorry I didn't buy it when it was first available. After lugging a bigger vacuum cleaner around the house, this vacuum cleaner has made everything so much easier. At 7.6 lbs., it is so much easier to get up the stairs. AND - here is a big one - it is so much easier to take off the wand and VACUUM the stairs. It goes everywhere the old big, earthbound one cannot. I would recommend wearing earplugs. The floor nozzle pivots easily and is flat enough to get under so much more. Transition from carpet to short carpet to hard floor could not be easier - small thumb movement. Attachments are well done. Dropping the dirt into a bag is really easy. The best part is it has VERY STRONG SUCTION - that really surprised me. It leaves tracks in the carpet the same or BETTER than my old conventional style. Super easy to simply detach the top for quick pick up, or to get places. I would suggest to Shark to make a stand that snaps-on/clamps on the wand; or a permanent one of the newer models. Not interested in buying a stand for $$. l won't buy something that won't stabilize the vacuum while in use. This is truly a must because since it can't stand well as it is, and stopping the vacuum to move stuff, putting it down on the floor, top can get warm, slows down the task. Bottom line - great suction, light weight, very maneuverable, easy to do stairs via just the top part. Check. Oh wait - how about vacuuming the car?? Check and Check ... show more

This Rocket vacuum is honestly pretty awesome. I throw on my headphones on a Sunday, hit play, and suddenly I’m in a futuristic cleaning rave, cruising around the apartment like I’m piloting a spaceship with LED lights and serious suction power. One of my favorite features is how quickly the main handle detaches so I can use it as a handheld vacuum. It makes it easy to clean furniture, corners, tight spaces, and all the random little areas that usually get ignored. It also reaches under the bed really well, which is great because somehow that area collects enough dust to start its own little civilization. For hard floors, wood floors, and apartments with mostly smooth surfaces, this thing is perfect. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and makes cleaning feel way faster and more satisfying than it should. The only issue is that it does not love my bathroom rug. If you have thick, high-pile rugs or shag-style carpeting, this probably isn’t where it shines. But for hard floors and low-pile surfaces, it absolutely crushes it. Overall, I’m really happy with it. The Rocket is lightweight, powerful, versatile, and weirdly fun to use. It turns a regular Sunday cleaning session into a headphone-fueled space mission, and honestly, I’m here for it. Ok so our battery operated shark vacuum was loosing its battery life after each charge. I decided to go the plug route. This seemed like a great midline option. Not too big, not too small, priced at a good budget point (for us). Let me tell you the plug route was the best idea. It’s a fairly long plug that I can do my whole first floor and second floor from one outlet (obviously my house is somewhat small;). The suction is amazing! Things I would’ve had to sweep, or pick up by hand I can now rely on the vacuum to pick up. The second power option for carpet is very powerful as well. It leaves nice carpet lines and picks up everything. My only problem with the vacuum is I find the handle heavy on my arm. The engine is on the upper end of the handle as is the waste basket compartment ( which can hold a nice amount of dirt). I find myself switching hands to give one hand a rest. The vacuum also can not stand on its own for the same reasoning. Aside for that this is a very reliable vacuum. ... show more
