Description

The PowerDetect NeverTouch robot vacuum and mop system is designed to capture more, reach farther, and need you less (vs. Shark Matrix 2-in-1). Its five powerful cleaning technologies help to target hidden debris, stuck-on stains, edges and to optimize cleaning for every floor type, handling the toughest cleaning challenges. Whether vacuuming or mopping, the PowerDetect robot does the dirty work, so you don't have to. It deep-cleans and mops your floors, while the NeverTouch Base means you don’t have to worry about cleanup or maintenance for weeks at a time. After every cleaning run, the robot will return to the base to empty dry debris, refill the water tank, and dry the mopping pad so it’s always ready for its next clean. With NeverStuck Technology, the robot lifts itself over obstacles and across thresholds to avoid getting stuck. When mopping, it keeps the pad above carpets to prevent wet messes and deliver whole-home coverage. While the robot handles your cleaning chores for you, the bagless base with Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures and traps 99.97% of dust and allergens (down to .3 microns, allergens refers to non-living matter).

  • Not perfect but it has saved me a lot of work. I feel it is worth the price. Not perfect but it has saved me a lot of work. I feel it is worth the price.
Color: Black/Grey
Review after 3 weeks. We have the Shart RV2829YE robot vacuum. A little background: We have a 2400sqft single level house. About 50/50 between hard surface (engineered wood and tile in the bathrooms) and very good quality carpet about 8 years old. My wife and I are retired and we have a German Shepard (German Shedder) dog. Before buying the robot vacuum, I needed to vacuum about every 5 to 7 days. By day 3 we would start having "fur balls" lining our main hall and light scattering of dog hair over all the hard surfaces. We often would do a quick dust mop along the hall edges to tame the fur balls. I usually would mop after vacuuming. I found with using the robot vacuum nearly everyday, reduced my workload. I just did a manual whole house vacuum after nearly three weeks of letting the robot vacuum clean the floors. Real world findings are that we dramatically less fur balls along the hall way and much less dog hair scattered around. We also noticed that walking barefoot in the kitchen, we rarely stepped on the little hard crumbs that we would routinely encounter a few days after a manual cleaning. THE BOTTOM LINE for me is that I spend 5 minutes going around the house prepping for the robot to clean (chairs on tables, picking up odds and ends, etc (same thing I do to vacuum) and then I can go about my day. I have been doing that most days and we have a pretty clean house and (almost) no fur balls - it isn't perfect. PROS: - Everyday cleaner floors overall - not perfect, but better without a lot of work on my part. - Reduced workload for me. - No more fur balls - including fewer fur balls under furniture. We have a hallway table that when I vacuumed after 5 to 7 days would always have significant fur balls under it. I have not seen any since using the robot, including today when I did a whole house vacuum (after 3 weeks of all robot cleaning). I don't have an explanation, it is just my experience. - While doing a whole house vacuum today (getting ready for a herd of family members for Easter), I had the robot mop the floors as I finished vacuuming. That was nice and saved me some work. It did nearly as good a job as I would have done. The dog tracked in muddy paw prints and the robot cleaned all of them. - Reasonably quiet. We don't run it at night in our house but if we had two or more floors, I am sure it would be quiet enough. - It has only gotten stuck once - under the dinning room table with all the chairs on the floor. We have a wooden HVAC vent in the floor and it got hung up on in between a table leg and chair leg. If I put the chairs on the table it does fine. CONS: - As you might imagine, it does the least satisfactory job along the edges and in corners. Long straight walls, ir works well, nooks and cranny's, not so well. - On the carpet, I estimate the robot gets about 40% to 50% of the fur compared to a manual vacuum. But it gets it every day so I think it is a good trade off. - It struggles in our home office. We have two desks that it can get under (which is good because it cleans an area that is impossible to get the manual vacuum into. However, our rolling office chairs seem to baffle it, and it can seem to get lost trying to find a way around them. I have not found a solution except to move the chairs into another room. I could make the desk and chair areas NO GO AREAS but that defeats the purpose... - You can have it vacuum individual rooms / areas or mop individual rooms/areas. If you want to vacuum and mop, your only choice is the entire mapped house. That seem like an easy fix in the app. - It maps the entire house as one floor plan. You have to go in and draw lines in the app to separate rooms (i.e. bedroom from hallway). The apples does not make that easy to do with a fat finger... A stylus might work better. TIPS: - It is critical to prepare your house for the mapping exercise. I mapped twice and may map a third time as I keep learning and observing it work. I have learned to put all of the chairs on top of the table, the kitchen stools on the breakfast bar. We have a piano bench and we put that on an easy chair, pick up shoes in the closet, etc. The more stuff you get off the floor, the better the map job will be, Once it is mapped, if it encounters a shoe or a chair, it simply works around the obstacle. But if the obstacle is present during the map exercise, the robot may never vacuum there. Same thing with throw rugs. It will map the position of a throw rug. It will vacuum the throw rug but it will not mop the throw rug. But if you pick up the throw rug after mapping and then ask it to mop, it will not mop the area the throw rug sits. However if you pick up the throw rugs during mapping, then ask it to mop that area, it will mop the area the throw rug normally sits or will avoid mopping the throw rug if it is present. Speaking of throw rugs, we have an assortment; bath mat type with 1''x1/8th" long soft fibers, and normal soft rug and a smaller lightweight but thick bath mat. The lightweight, thick bathmat is the only one to cause an issue. It is thick enough that the robot bumps into it and then pushes it around instead of moving on top of it. I just pick it up. The raised transitions between the engineered floor and the tile batch rooms are not an issue EXCEPT that is does not get the doghair that is right next to the transition strip. I have less room around the dock that is recommended but it has never been an issue. ... show more

  • Little vacuum gets the job done/great customer service Little vacuum gets the job done/great customer service
Color: Black
I've wanted a little robot vacuum for a long time. One I could control via my Echo and was slightly "smart". My home gets dusty fairly quickly and I have bad dust mite allergies so cleaning can be a literal pain. I mostly wanted the vacuum for one room, my bedroom. I don't know how efficient my little Baby Shark would be in a larger space, but for a smaller space she is perfect. I've run her about every 3-4 days and the dust cup is always fairly full, and I always notice how much easier it is to breathe dust-free after she's done her routine. Set up was a breeze. Snapped the brushes into place, set the dock up, downloaded the app. Easily connected to my wifi and set up the Shark skill in my Echo app too. I had to name the vacuum, and I have a larger non-intelligent shark vacuum, hence "Baby Shark", but now I can inform Alexa to start cleaning. The Shark app is nice. I can also control the robot from there, see how long it has been running, switch modes, see how much charge is left, or dock it, all without being in the room. It is a fairly simple intuitive interface. The battery life is sufficient for a good clean. After about an hour and a half she's down to 50% on the Max mode. She won't pick up large items but I'm always amazed at how much dust she gets. My hair is long and sheds a lot but she's an expert at getting that up from my vinyl floors and my thin rugs too. The dust cup is kind of small but it holds the dust she picks up with a little spare room. As for noise, she's on the quiet side for a vacuum. I've easily concentrated on work at my desk or watched a show while she's running. She does have a few beeping sequences when she's turned on, switching modes, or docking. I find it cute but might annoy others. The indicator lights for wifi and charging are pretty standard as well. I like the option of scheduling her runs, but I generally just set her to go when I have a little time to pick up some potential obstacles in her path. She can get in the awkward corners under my half circle corner shelves that I struggled to clean with the regular vacuum. She goes under my bed with ease. Under my desk and my desk chair as well. I do make sure to lift all the cords and trip hazards from her potential path. She so far hasn't gotten stuck or gotten something tangled in her roller. She doesn't map anything intelligently like some more expensive models, but she does seem to get into all the corners and under all the furniture on a single run. It may take her a few go arounds to get into a specific tight spot, but letting her go for at least an hour generally she goes over everything possible. Overall I'm very happy with Baby Shark. We'll see how long she lasts with casual use. ***2021 Update 6ish months in*** Well my poor baby shark died today. She was beeping continuously and not connecting to wifi. I tried some troubleshooting steps on the app and then called customer service. It’s not the first time I had a Shark product die on me. But I’m never upset because the customer service for this company is really amazing. I called and connected right away with someone we did a video-call and identified the problem. Long story short, it had an internal error so I’m being sent a replacement for free. The battery life stayed pretty consistent through this time period. A little disappointed the machine died so quickly when I really use it 2x a/4 hours a week at most. But on the other hand the company stands by their product and I’m getting a replacement. Thought I’d update my review about it. ... show more

  • Reliable robot and app
Color: Black/Grey
Shark Robot Vacuum and Mop is reliable product and great app for 3 months. First, we tried another top Amazon brand that had thousands more reviews, but that app had so many issues so we returned it and got the Shark. Love seeing the clean vacuum streaks in my carpet multiple times a week. At first, we had the Shark mop and vacuum the whole house same day, but we realized the wet mop was dragging wet residue across the carpet hallway after mopping the bathrooms. It also dragged wet mop residue on the rugs after mopping the living room. Now, we schedule mopping bathrooms and the living kitchen area, several hours after vacuuming or on different days. Very easy to schedule additional vacuuming for certain areas. The Shark also stops itself from going down stairs and elevates itself when going over taller surfaces like rugs. ... show more

  • Works great for only 5 months; Shady & unhelpful Customer Service Works great for only 5 months; Shady & unhelpful Customer Service
Color: Black/Black
Disgusting customer service and inferior equipment. Works reliably for only 5 months at a time and customer service will talk nicely to you and apologize but offer no real support or solutions when the product fails. I bought this in December 2024 for a Christmas gift for our family. For 5 months it worked brilliantly- app provided seamless integration with vacuum and it worked as advertised- even negotiating heavy fringe on our expansive rugs. The mop feature was a game changer as well- doing an above average job keeping our mostly tile floors on our first floor pretty squeaky clean. Then it stopped connecting to WiFi and we could not get it to reconnect and operate. Our first experience with Customer service yielded a quick response and sending a new base unit- had to continue with old reservoir an mop pad assembly. For another 5 months the vacuum hummed along and then I noticed the mop was not getting wet anymore. Following troubleshooting from Shark I disassembled reservoir and thoroughly cleaned all connections and flushed reservoir. Nothing changed. Calling customer service this time yielded another video chat troubleshooting session or repeating everything I already did and then telling me they would send me a new reservoir- only not anytime soon as they were out of stock. They took my email address and told me I’d receive an email when the item became available- but they would not automatically just send me a replacement. No, the email to me would mean I would need to call back and request the replacement- meaning I would have to repeat the entire 30 minute ordeal again to prove I need it and most likely done as a way to ensure by calling back a race amongst all of us that need this replacement to get to the few available. Meaning that there won’t be a enough replacements and having folk call allows a few early callers replacements and others later to be told “they didn’t call quick enough and are now out of replacements again” and they will take their emails and then they can call back to request their replacement and this cycle will continue until people give up in frustration. I HAVE to believe there are MANY other companies you can give your robot vacuum/mop dollars to, and any one of them HAVE to do better than lasting 5 months and then playing a customer service shell game to avoid replacement and responsibility. HUGE disappointment as an owner and user of this equipment. It holds such promise, if it could just be more reliable and could be backed up with less shady customer service support. I feel sorry for the customer service folks that are probably poorly paid to be the front folks who handle the frustrations of consumers of this companies devices and have to bear the brunt of the complaints for poor business practices. Would not purchase another Shark product again as a result of this experience. Such a letdown to have a device work so well and just fail so spectacularly after only 5 months of moderate use (2/3 times a week)…. Lack of customer service support was the icing on the disappointment cake. ... show more

  • AMAZING
Color: Black/Chrome
This thing is the bomb!! I was skeptical about the mopping feature as I have four Golden Retrievers but this thing is amazing! I set it to vacuum overnight while dogs are put up (there is a reason for that, we’ve lost robot vacuums in the past due to it picking up a potty accident) and four times a week, I have it mop. It self cleans the mopping pad so it’s not just pushing dirt around. I have to tend to it about once a week. It really does a phenomenal job!! With every penny! ... show more
