I have lots of vacuums. I have cordless sticks, traditional sweepers and the robot vacuums that run when I'm not around. I have two dogs, so I feel like I need to clean the floors constantly. I found that the cordless sweepers are convenient, but not very powerful. I wanted a light vacuum with strong suction and I knew that a battery wouldn't work...that's why I got the corded version. Wow. It's so powerful. It really picks up the dirt and I am very happy with how well it cleans my carpets. The cord is long enough that I can move around easily. It's not very noisy and I really enjoy it. It was super easy to put together and although I saw some negative reviews about storage, I haven't had any issues with just leaning it up against a wall. With 3 large shedding dogs, I go through so many vacuums. This little light weight shark works as well as any of the larger, bulkier, beefed up pet vacuums I have purchased. I could literally knit a sweater with what this little vacuum has to pick up in a day. It hasn't lost any suction or clogged yet but I suppose time will tell. Could not be happier with this purchase! No battery to worry about and a very long cord. Suction is amazing. Great price and easy to move around. I purchased the smaller version as it is easy to get into smaller corners. The base is around 10 inches vs 14 so not as bulky to use in our mobile vacation home. I only have to unplug it once to reach the opposite side of our trailer. It has better suction than my cordless Dyson. I love the attachments. I've used my Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Vacuum 5 or 6 times over the past 3 months. -- This vacuum does everything and has great suction. It is simple to switch from off to bare floor to carpet with the button on the handle. The dirt bin has a push button release so I position it over my trash can, push the release button, and wa-lah, it's empty. No dirt and dust spilling everywhere. The dirt bin is nice and big. I vacuum my entire house where my two long haired cats and I live and only clean the dirt after the entire house is vacuumed. The vacuum head pivots, getting in all of the hard to reach places, and has great suction. I love that it's light because I'm 57 and want to vacuum my second story stairs easily..this does it. The cord is long so I can clean my entire main floor of 800 SQ ft and only unplug/replug once. Highly recommend! ... show more

This was a repeat Shark purchase for my family. I had a Rocket Deluxe Pro for many years. We also have two different versions of the upright models. We have always been happy with each. The Deluxe Pro model had developed several splits in the vacuum hose right at the curve going in to the beater head. I purchased this prior to going in to have some surgery, so I am at fault for not better checking various features I assumed were standard. There are no lights on this model. I figured I could live with it. It seems to have similar power for cleaning floors to my old unit. The BIGGEST flaw for me is the design for emptying the container. It is a poor design. The collection container does not detact from the motor body to allow easier emptying. (i e. User cannot walk to trash container without motor housing and cord) This design also means the user cannot wash the collection container freely. On my other three Shark models, I could do this. Allowing the user to wash the filters and container at one time. Very poor design. I keep the Shark stick on my second floor to avoid carrying the heavier ones upstairs. ... show more
