I just got this vacuum and I am very pleased with it. I use to have a Rainbow, which I loved, but it got too heavy for me now that I am 76 years old. I like that this Shark is two vacuums in one; a hand-held and a floor/carpet cleaner, too. I also like a corded model so I can clean as long as I want to without having to worry about a battery running low. On the top where you grip the handle is a switch for two speeds. One for carpet and one for floor/tile. And the cord is plenty long, 30 feet! Some people have commented about this vacuum being top-heavy. That's true, but with just a turn of the wrist, it maneuvers very easily. I find it helpful to use both hands to direct the power floor nozzle on carpet especially, because it really has strong suction (600 watts) and gets up dirt from deep in the pile, which is a good thing! The instructions say to empty the cup when dirt reaches the line in the cup, but I found that dirt hides that line. But the normal vacuum sound it makes while running gets higher and shriller when the cup needs to be emptied. I really LIKE that feature! The cup attachment removes easily from the hand-held top part and is a bit messy to empty, so it is good to hold the dirty cup over the trash can before releasing the flap that opens the cup. The cup has clear walls inside the cup where dirt can accumulate, but it comes really clean if you use a Swiffer duster to swipe around the inside of the cup and these walls after you have emptied it. You'll see what I mean if you try it. I also like that this vacuum cleaner can stand in a closet or utility room by itself, not taking up much space. To do so, the top part is removed and hooks onto the lower floor nozzle for storage and the cord wraps around two hooks and stays neat. I really like this feature. While vacuuming, the cleaner does not stand up by itself, but I have just leaned it against a corner or the wall and it stays just fine over carpeting. Be careful trying to lean it on a hardwood or tile floor, however, because it may slide down the wall and might break the handheld part. The fact that it is top heavy does not bother me at all. If necessary, I can lay it down, move something and then pick it back up. No big deal. I also love the fact that this vacuum has a lighted path on both the floor nozzle and the hand held unit as you clean making it much easier to see the dirt disappear as you sweep. On my model (ZS362) there are three accessories. A 5" crevice tool, a pet Multi-tool that has a removable brush (it is not motorized), and a small precision duster for tight spaces like keyboards or around knobs. I think I have covered everything. This vacuum is absolutely amazing, especially for the price! Got this to tackle hardwood and carpet in a house with one very messy person who hates cleaning and one equally messy, very hairy cat and its handled everything we've thrown at it with ease, from hair and crumbs to dirt and cat litter. Pros-- Lightweight, super convenient, incredibly easy to use and convert from handheld to stick and back, great suction for a stick vacuum. Does the job on all floor types with no problem and it's super maneuverable for everything from getting under couches and through chair legs to over high thresholds on the floor. Comes with every attachment you can want and some pretty brilliant ones you wouldn't even think to ask for. The cup is super easy to empty and get back to cleaning again quickly. Best part is the zero wrap brushroll GENUINELY WORKS, with my hair length I'd be giving a normal vacuum a haircut every other use but with this there's literally never hair wrapped around it. Semi-cons-- dust cup could be a bit bigger, fills up pretty quickly but it is a stick vac and it's honestly a testament to how much this little vacuum picks up. The motor is at the top of this vacuum so if you're going to vacuum the entire house your wrist might get tired from maneuvering it but its way better than moving around a full sized one would be. Its also top-heavy when together so it doesn't stay standing but its very easy to detach the motor and hang it at the bottom of the stick for a second while you let go of it. Not cordless but there's no way you'd get this suction out of a cordless vac and you don't have to worry about the battery running out. ... show more

This is an excellent, lightweight vacuum. I prefer corded vacuums as I think they have more power and they don't need charging. It has plenty of maneuverability, great suction, long cord, and I'd nice and lightweight. Very easy to vacuum with. Easy to put together and take apart (for example, to use just the handheld part or empty the canister. The reason I give it 4 stars is that I also have a Shark Rocket vacuum, and that's the standard by which I judge all vacuums. It's unbeatable for sucking up dirt and cat hair, and I love the attachments, especially the stair brush, which is easier to use than this one. I was impressed with this vacuum. But just to check, I used the Rocket vacuum after using this one in my bedroom. Yup, it picked up stuff this one didn't And, it left better brush marks (which I guess means it brushes more deeply?). Honestly, you can't go wrong with either one of these. This looked like a good model. On sale it was cheaper than buying a new Rocket, so I got it. Will be making my life easier!     • Light, easy to maneuver

This is light and sucks up both the heavier soy based cat pellet litter and regular litter we use, great on pet hair and human hair. It has a smaller canister for debris - this makes it lighter, it’s easy enough to empty and replace that I don’t think about it at all. I will take the lightness and the extra empty of the little container over a heavier unit any time. It lays flat to get under furniture- but- it’s a little to thick to get under most of my furniture. The cord is long so I can do most of my floors without unplugging it. It works great on my rugs (low pile) it does not work on higher pile carpets / rugs- it’s not made for that. For the last 5 years I had battery operated units but got so tired of the short battery life, limited suction power and the short overall life that after 4 units in 5 years (we have 4 cats and have to vacuum 1-2 times a day minimum) I was also sick of how much I was spending on replacing these units. Also, the battery makes these cordless units heavier. I hope this one lasts a long time. I’ve had it for 3 months now and it works just like it did the day I took it out of the box. One drawback: it does not stand up on its own, I have to lay it down on the ground or a stand it against a safe spot- like a countertop or corner, so it doesn’t fall down. ... show more
