I wanted to see what all of the hipe was about. I read the reviews and wanted to experience it for myself. I read both the five star and one star reviews. I was using the fan in a very small space, 10x8. This is at most a $25 fan. I cannot believe they are charging $170 for this. At MOST you feel the air at 10 feet if you have it pointed directly on you, barely and that’s on high speed. The mister was intermittent (not sure if this is how it was supposed to be) then it would just stop, plenty of water in the reservoir. The battery life after being fully charged lasted approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. I was really hoping for the best. I love Shark products, this fan failed. I wanted to love this fan!! We have a hot natured dog and some outdoor activities this summer and I love the shark products I have. I also wanted to use it in our shed when I am crafting. However this fan sadly disappointed me!!! I am glad Amazon makes returns so easy and I didn’t pay but 100$ for it. I sent it back. Idk how people love this fan, unless they bought it to flash a brand. It’s no way near worth the money in my opinion. Pro: the misting feature was great!!! Con: the amount of airflow was beyond sub par. There was a burst setting?? I can’t remember exactly what it was called, but it still was terrible air movement. I really challenge how they came up with 70 feet. Indoors maybe 15 feet? Outdoors forget it. And it says that it will cool temps 5 degrees… i was sooo sad that it was so poor. I am a Texan with a sensitivity to heat, this fan is a summer gamechanger. I spend hot days at the pool, baseball fields, and watching my kid in the backyard. The fan is easy to carry and packs so much power in a little size. It has several speed options and the ability to mist constantly or in intervals. It charges to full capacity in a few hours and lasts for a considerable amount of time. Like any device, the faster the speed the quicker the battery drains. At a full charge, and full speed it lasts about 2 hours, for me this is not a big deal as im always able to get close to a plug. Has great potential but simply not worth the price. The airflow strength & noise-level is great but that's it and I'm sure there are others with equal performance at 1/4th the cost. Misting is intermittent and will come and go as it pleases, even when the tank is 3/4 filled. A quick tap gets it back *on demand" but one shouldn't need to do that; especially at over $100. Battery life is surprisingly brief, even at lower power. Two hours might be it's absolute peak. I'm sure we've all had experienced diminishing battery stamina/life as a rechargable device's battery cycles/ages. I question how long it last after 50-100 recharges... The misting tank is low capacity; you'll get maybe 20-30 minutes at the constant misting setting. I really, really wanted to be happy with this but the overall performance and likely gradual diminishing returns just isn't worth the price paid...and that even with the discounted price I paid. ... show more
