I have 2 small dogs that constantly mess on the carpet and I bought this so that I can shampoo the carpet and rugs frequently and efficiently. I have not found anything negative about it. It is lightweight, easy to use, does a great job, and is easy to take apart and clean. I don't have a laundry tub, so after I take off all the parts to clean separately, I lift the entire machine up into my kitchen sink and rinse the lower half off. It maneuvers very easily around my house. With just 2 settings to work 1) shampoo and vacuuming up the water 2) vacuuming only it is so easy to use. The dirty tank ends up looking like black thick mud water once I'm done, so I know it's doing a great job and my carpet looks clean after. With the extra vacuuming function run over the carpet after shampooing, more water gets pulled out and the carpet dries quickly. I bought a refurbished model and I wouldn't have known that it was not brand new. I recommend purchasing refurbished models for much less than brand new and you can always do what I did; purchase the insurance on it for a bit more. The price is very good and even when money was tight, I was able to purchase this when I was desperate to clean my carpet and actually get to keep shampooing my carpet when I need to. I am very happy with my purchase for what I spent on it considering that a rental is 1/3 of the price I paid to be able to use my own weekly. My house no longer smells or looks like a barnyard.

I really like this Shark. It cleans well and I like the two setting it comes with. It gets a lot of the water out of your carpets. Easy to assemble and easy to clean after cleaning carpets.

I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money because I only have 2 runners that I need to keep clean. I ordered this shampooer based on the reviews and the price. It arrived nicely packaged and included a small bottle of cleaning solution. The only thing you need to do is unbox it and put click the handle into place. Once I read over the directions I added the water and solution and powered it on. There are 2 buttons for use, one does the shampooing and the other helps to dry the rug. It didn't take long to do both of my runner and I can't even tell you how surprised I was to see how well this worked! The water was black! I did have to empty the dirty tank one time (the vacuum actually goes into a different mode and won't continue working when you need to empty it). The tank was very easy to empty and put back in to finish the job. After I was finished I took out both tanks and emptied them and also took off the base piece, which covers the spinning brush to thoroughly clean it. The ease of getting to the places to clean is great! I actually used this on wool and it did pull up a lot of it, but in a good way...the rugs look brand new! The vacuum isn't overly loud and is pretty light weight to move around when it isn't filled with water. The only complaint I have is the smell of the cleaning solution, I hate it! I had to open doors and put on fans to get the carpets to dry to get rid of the smell. I think from here on out I will make my own solution to use instead.

I love how you don’t need to have use a button or lever to dispense the cleaner. Only issue is sometimes the tank sensor will cause the unit to shutoff . So make you firmly attach both reservoirs.

I really like this product, I just wish I would have bought the one that had the handheld shampooer as well. Lightweight, it definitely cleaned my carpets back to looking new. After I cleaned the carpets, it took about an hour to dry.

Works much better than expected. I carefully researched vacuum cleaners before buying this to do some tough vacuum and carpet cleaning jobs. Much better than I even expected. Little learning curve but does deep cleaning of carpets and not just vacuuming. Perfect for cleaning some carpets in rooms overdue for a good deep cleaning!!!! Great price and quality.

What a game changer! I started with a small section in front of the door leading to our garage via our dining room. My husband about gagged when he saw the dirty water. Then I worked on our guest room where our cats’ litter boxes are(and our youngest cat likes to pee on, no matter how many times I clean the boxes with soap and water and scooping the dirties out of) and my god, it was hideous with the dirty water and the smell is better. The suction power is better than our old Hoover that took a dump on us. Here is a picture from our guest room.
