Initially this lightweight vacuum worked great on hardwood and tile, but it lost a lot of suction over time. I "deep cleaned" the dust cup, and found debris hiding in the back of the cup. Also there is a black filter cover and a sponge filter that needs to be cleaned. I found a lot of fine dust packed around where the filters are housed. As others have suggested, these areas must be periodically cleaned to keep suction up. ... show more

I just got this & had to use it right away! For positives; It is easy to maunuaver, lightweight, and looks nice on stand. It sucked up my dog's hair & dust bunnies pretty well. I do like it has 2 attachments. As for negatives; it takes 6 hours to charge 100% and the battery only lasted me 20 mins! For being a Shark vacuum, the suction isn't impressive and it has terrible battery life! I am debating whether to keep it or not, just based on that. It didn't last me to do my master bed room & master bathroom & they aren't very big. I also wish you could attach the different attachments on the longer tube instead of just attaching them to the little hand held vacuum. I bought it because it was $100 which is a good deal for it. ... show more

Hello: I have purchased Shark CH964AMZ 2-in-1 Cordless & Handheld Vacuum Ultracyclone System on July 12, 2022 on Amazon.com. I have hardly used it (not more than 4 times) and now notice that the battery on the cordless unit is not charging. Since the product is fairly new (less than 6 months old), I have called customer service at Shark to inform, discuss , troubleshoot the issue via LIVE VIDEO CALL and the final outcome of the is: a. According to the representative, the charger to the handled unit might be faulty and hence not charging the cordless vacuum. b. The charger needed to charge this handheld (COREDLESS) unit is considered as an "ACCESSORY". c. According to the policy of SHARK WARRANTY, accessories are NOT COVERED under warranty. d. Only the main unit or the CORDLESS vacuum is covered under warranty. e. Since the issue is with the charger which is an ACCESSORY (per troubleshooting steps done via LIVE VIDEO by the representative), even though the UNIT is less than 6 months OLD and it would not have mattered even if the unit was a month OLD, I was told that the ACCESSORY (CHARGER) should be purchased. f. I find it difficult to understand how the system as a "WHOLE" which should technically include Handheld Vacuum, Charger and Stand does NOT have the same warranty coverage. This is because, a handheld unit is PRACTICALLY USELESS WITHOUT A CHARGER. And if the CHARGER STOPS WORKING, even though it is only 5 months old, how could even possibly prove that the HANDHELD UNIT IS FAULTY (SHOULD THAT EVER HAPPEN) without a CHARGER? I would like to note my personal experience so that people are aware before purchasing this product and what could potentially happen in the event the same issue surfaces. I would NOT recommend this product. I was offered to purchase the ACCESSORY (CHARGER) and I have denied to do so because I should not be paying for something that is so UNRELIABLE and stops working within 6 months or less. ... show more

This little vacuum is so easy to maneuver, I feel like it would be a great vacuum for children to use (though, it's pretty tall so unsure they'd actually be able to use it.) I can whip this around the baseboards and corners quickly without tiring my wrist -- I usually turn to this vacuum over my heavier duty stick vacuum, which doesn't fit under as many spaces. I also feel like I bash my other vacuum into furniture/baseboards more often than this, and it's so bulky that I often scratch the walls. This one is so lightweight I don't feel bad swinging it around the room quickly for impromptu cleanups throughout the day. The bin is awkward to empty -- I have two dogs and I have to dig my fingers around in the bin to get their hairballs out, but it has great suction and is super versatile for handling the mass amounts of hair. I also don't like how the charging stand doesn't hide the charging cable. I love the stand, but hate the wire. I don't often review products but I feel like this review may resonate with some potential buyers. It's a little pricey to me (I would have preferred if it as <$80), but I assume the price point is why the suction/quality is so high. ... show more
