  • Perfect, looks brand new!
The media could not be loaded. Love buying renewed from Amazon & their sellers. I save money which is essential for a mom with 3 boys. I picked up a lot of dirt btwn the living room carpet & part of the kitchen. There's a setting for hard floor, low pile carpet, and for high pile/thick carpet. The sound change on the video was from my phone-not from the vacuum. It is as loud as all the other vacuums but it has the interesting features, plus a cord thankfully. The dust bin can detach so that you can clean under furniture. The hose is not very long so you may have to carry the bin if moving a lot, or far. It's a bit on the heavy side. I have muscular connective tissue disease, chronic pain disorder, & multiple spinal issues, along w/herniated discs. The weight wasn't bothersome for me while I used it under the bed. You could place it on a scooter dolly(like those old ones from gym class) and then it should slide with you. Those are often found with PE equipment, special needs equipment, & usually run around $15. I think it'd work. The vacuum is very pretty but I am more concerned with price & functionality. It will suit our needs well. I like the fact that you can remove the hose from the top end without having to separate the whole entire vacuum. That was the problem with many of the lift away vacuums. This one can simply be pulled off & turned into a stick like vacuum for small areas, or the top handle pops out to access the hose that way too. Then you just attach the tool of choice & continue cleaning - without having to take it all apart. 😀 I highly suggest keeping debris at or below the max fill line. As you can see- a lot of dirt, dust, and sediment collects. It'll be a lot easier to keep clean & to keep it running longer if you don't over fill it. Max fill Is about half way from the bottom of the dust bin through the top. Definitely a nice machine & I am so happy to purchase renewed from Amazon yet again! ... show more

  • Love it
I picked this specific vacuum for the front brush roll that is specifically for hardwood or similar floors and it being the shark brand. The added features that are convenient and I really appreciate is the detachable pod (essentially turns into a stick vacuum). I picked the corded over noncorded because I wanted a very powerful vacuum. The down side of that is I also wanted to use it to clean my cars so I’m going to have to buy an extension cord for that. It is on the heavier side but take off the pod and it’s fine it rolls along with you. I have laminate floors and rugs and it works great on both it picks up stuff that I can’t even see, I’ll look in the pod after and see all these dust bunnies. Anyways it gets pretty difficult to move on the rugs and yet it doesn’t pick them up or anything. It cleans the bathroom rugs very nicely without me having to grab them or anything. It is a pretty ugly vacuum but I don’t mind because it’s personality is nice and it functions so well. I can walk barefoot in my house without being disgusted by stuff on my feet. As for it being refurbished I have had no problems with it being dirty or in bad condition. There were a couple scratches but not noticeable unless really examining the vacuum. ... show more

  • It's a vacuum. It works, it is not expensive, don't hate.
I had a Shark Navigator for 12 years. A family member used it to suck up large chunks off broken glass with the powerhead running. It killed the powerhead, but the rest of the vac still worked fine. I only replaced it because of misuse. Having said that, when looking for a new vac, I found that there are lots of Shark haters on the internet. So many vacuum snobs who seem to have endless money to buy $1000+ Miele vacs. I don't know how long a vac is supposed to live for, but I am pretty ok with 10+ years which my last Shark did. Sure, I took good care of it, cut the hair out of the brushes, cleaned and changed the filters regularly. I don't feel like this is much to ask. I have no idea how you break a vacuum cleaner unless you're doing something strange with it. All that to say that this vac is fine. As a refurb, the price is great and I could not tell that it was anything but new. It cleans well, it's largely the same affair as my old Navigator. I did spend extra on a powered pet brush as I do indeed have pets as well as carpeted stairs. I can't imagine not having this attachment. It's also handy to vac out the car. The only downsides to this vac are that it is pretty heavy and it pulls pretty hard with the brushroll going. It will drag you around a bit and pulling it back is a little bit of a workout. Other than that, it's pretty good. No, you can't buy replacement parts for Sharks, so that is what most people complain about; I think that's fair criticism. However, in my experience, I never needed any so I am not concerned. I could have purchased a new powerhead for my Navigator, but the cost of a refurb vs a new powerhead seemed like a poor way to spend money. The old navigator will be moved to garage and car duty. ... show more
