  • Wow!!! Awesome vacuum!!! Amazing and easy Wow!!! Awesome vacuum!!! Amazing and easy
Color: Dark Grey
Wow, this is an awesome way of being lazy lol no but seriously I have wanted a Robo vac for a couple years now and did all my research and decided on this one and I’m very glad I did. It was very easy to set up and then it also hooked to my phone after I downloaded the app and the station that it docks at can go anywhere. I have it next to one of the living room couches and it works really well, but it was very easy to set up. The navigation is awesome and I have three dogs so I don’t need to say anymore about Dog hair pick up. It picked up the Hair flawlessly both on the tile and the carpet. It really did save me a lot of time I would recommend this to family and friends. ... show more

  • Pretty easy to set up and operate.
Color: Cool Grey
I did a good bit of research before deciding on the Shark. We have a Shark upright and another dustbuster size Shark so we are very positive about their products. I chose a spot for the dock that doesn't really comply with the instructions but it hasn't affected the operation in the least. It is under a side table in a bedroom. Works very well from there. I used the app to map my apartment, which it did very well. I closed the doors to rooms i didn't want it to go - either because i just want them cleaned more thoroughly by our cleaning service or i thought it might get stuck on the rugs. It handles rugs pretty well, though. Minor complaint that others have mentioned: it doesn't take the same route each time. And it goes over the same areas more than once. The first time it ran, it got itself stuck under a low riser dresser so i now put a stool in front of the dresser to prevent that. I think the app is pretty slick and easy to use. You can set it to vacuum every day or any odd assortment of days. Ours runs twice a week to be sure the cat hair gets cleaned out. First run complaint: since it was vacuuming under beds, it was probably going places that had not been vacuumed in a long time. So that first time, it filled the bin with cat hair and just stopped in mid run. I had to take it back to the dock but even then it couldn't off load the hair. It was too full and compacted so i had to remove the bin from the robot and clean it by hand. That hasn't happened again though. Just be aware if you have any areas like that. The app lets you do the whole house, just one room, or a selected 5 ft square space. In the app, choosing Spot, it puts a square in the middle of the screen with the house map over laid. You choose the spot by moving the map under the square until it is over the area you want cleaned. It's not intuitive, but once you see it, you know how it works. I read many of the older reviews that mentioned a magnetic strip to keep it from going certain places like off a step. I was wondering where those strips were because mine did not come with any. I almost returned it before the first run because i do have a sunken room and was concerned about it going off the step but it ran right up to the edge, stopped, and then ran along the entire width without a problem. Pretty impressive. It will obviously have trouble negotiating table and chair legs so if you want those areas cleaned you will need to move the chairs. It would also be nice to know how to deal with the sunken area of our home. For now, i take it off the dock and carry it to that room before turning it on. It does the room completely and returns to the starting point where i again have to pick it up and return it to the dock. Then, i have to use the app or the button on top to tell it to return to the dock, which works ok. Im just concerned if this confuses the mapping of the rest of the house. I wish the instructions addressed this issue. UPDATE, Nov 13, 2025: I have been using the robovac for two years now and I still love it. I have discovered a few irritating features- 1. Make sure you don't have anything on the floor that could jam the machinery. My cleaning lady left a dryer sheet somewhere and it got sucked into the filter on the Shark. There is no warning and no other notification that the robot is no longer working. 2. The app keeps asking me to re-logon every time I need to start vacuuming. I have it set up to NOT do that but it seems to forget every so often. It's very inconsistent. The app just needs a little tweaking to be perfect, 3. If you have a separate room that isn't on the same level as the majority of your home, it isn't able to "map" the separate area. That would be a very-nice-to-have feature. ... show more

  • Absolutely abysmal cleaning and battery performance Absolutely abysmal cleaning and battery performance
Color: Dark Grey
absolutely abysmal cleaning and battery performance I bought this botvac to replace our Neato. The neato has been good but Neato is no longer producing botvacs and the support is all but gone. With that in mind we decided to replace the Neato even though it’s still performing well, at least for now. We started looking for a self emptying model and one that’s only a vac because we have very little hard floors, a mopping unit would be a waste. Not having a proprietary bag was a big plus too. We looked at a lot of reviews after much debate settled on the Shark AV2501S AI Ultra as it checked all the boxes and had decent reviews. $550 was on the high end of our budget but when the price dropped to $279 on Amazon we quickly pulled the trigger! The unit arrived over night and well packed as expected. We unpacked and put the botvac on it’s base and allowed it to charge over night before we even set it up. Setup went Ok, but the first indication of problems started as soon as we had it do it’s first mapping run. We watched it and it missed lots of areas that the Neato had no problem navigating even though the Neato is slightly bigger. We wanted to check the full cleaning power so we set it to max and turned it loose. It came of the base ran about 1 min and then returned to it’s base... WTH? First fail. Restarted the full house clean on max again and same result! Second fail! Ok, maybe it’s something I did wrong. Factory reset, set it back up, did another mapping run and sent it out again. SAME THING! Fail three. Ok, I’m a bit stubborn so I send it back out again with recharge and resume & evacuate and resume both on. It only makes sense right? Low and behold, it actually starts to vacuum the house but… after about 45 min it returns to it’s base to empty and recharge. WTH? It’s supposed to have a 120min battery life! 3 hours later it finishes it’s run. Almost 4 hours to vacuum the house... The Neato did it in about 1 hour with plenty of charge to spare. Fail four! At this point it’s been an all day affair. Frustrated we leave it to charge over night and try again in the morning. The next mornings attempt 2 went not much better. I deactivated the recharge and resume & evacuate and resume and sent it back out again with max. Shark states it has a 120min run time so we figured even though it was on max it should have no problem with our house which has 800sqft of open floor space. At first it wouldn’t start because it was asking to empty the dust bin. Ok, completely emptied the base and bot, blew them out with compressed air so they were squeaky clean and tried again. Success! It finally starts it’s run. At about the 40% battery remaining level or so I noticed the suction sound reduce down to the “normal” level. Not cool… It did manage to finish the run but I noticed it wasn’t picking up even small pieces of debris. Fail five! Ok, my butt is really getting chapped about now so immediately I sent the Neato out on max power as we always do. Keep in mind the Shark had already done a run and the Neato needs to have the dust bin emptied every time so it’s empty too. Time to compare the results. All the stuff the Shark clearly missed is gone and it only took about a hour as usual. Let’s see how much the Shark and Neato picked up. I took both dust bins and dumped them each onto a sheet of paper. OMG! The Shark performed abysmally. While I didn’t do any scientific measuring you can see the Neato picked up at least 5 times or more debris than the Shark. And that was right AFTER the Shark had done it’s run. Bottom line – the Shark’s performance is atrocious. The suction is poor, the battery life is poor and the mapping is poor. This thing is headed back to where it came from! So disappointed... ... show more

  • Very Pleased! Works much better than expected.
Color: Cool Grey
[update May 18, 2024] I'm even more pleased after Buddy has been on the job for six months. He's just a joy to have around. Yes, he has a name now. Buddy has gotten stuck no more than four times while cleaning at least part of the house every few days. I'm still amazed at how much stuff (mostly cat fur) is in the base station when I check it every month or two, because to me the house looks like it's mostly clean all the time now so I don't expect that much "invisible" debris to be collected. The self-cleaning brush roller isn't completely maintenance free, but I never expected it would be. The worst culprit isn't the cats, but my wife's hair. Fortunately it's extremely easy to pop the roller out and untangle the stuff, which I do about once per month. You can hear when it needs a cleaning. The only thing I really wish for is a single-room learning update. No way I want to update the whole house again, but there are one or two small pockets where Buddy just doesn't go. I'd like to be able to update just that one room without having to re-learn the whole house. But, I have to say, this is one of the most unexpectedly satisfying purchases I've made ever. [original review] I can't compare this robot vacuum to any others because it's my first. I will say that I didn't expect it to work as well as it does. We have two rag doll cats that put out an amazing amount of fur. It's either vacuum all the time or just put up with it between vacuuming. Not any more! Sure, it can't get everywhere the fur likes to go hide, but surprisingly, it does get most of it. We have wood floors with area rugs. I was afraid it would choke on the thicker area rugs. They're a pain to do even with a regular vacuum, but it handles them like a champ! It's so refreshing to see the floors so tidy. I'm embarrassed at what we put up with before. Another nice thing is if I make a mess, such as in the kitchen, I no longer care. I just whip out the phone and order up a room cleaning. Now for the big advice. Spend as much time as needed getting the initial exploration, map, and room creation process as perfect as possible. Move everything you can out of the way so it doesn't mistake something like a bathroom scale as part of the house geometry. After the first few tries, there were areas it just decided weren't part of the house because it couldn't get there when exploring. It simply wouldn't clean there even if not obstructed! Once I went through the house thoroughly and got everything I could out of the way, it made an excellent map. When you put things back, the map will remain but those things will just be seen as temporary obstacles. Seriously. It's worth the work. My biggest ask for improvement would be single-room learning. After going to all this trouble getting a good map, I really don't want to re-learn the whole house if I, say, rearrange the furniture in one room. But for now that's not an issue. I initially took off a star for these initial shortcomings but have put it back up to five stars. Overall it's fine. I can't say for sure, but I think it's getting smarter. For sure, it hugs the walls really well now, where it wasn't doing that before. The only downside is I can't say this thing is saving me any real time yet because I end up following it around the house just to watch. lol! ... show more

  • I'm pretty impressed but not 100% sold I'm pretty impressed but not 100% sold
Color: White/Silver
I purchased this on a Black Friday sale(go figure the price hasn't changed..) but, I've had it for a few weeks now and I'm moderately impressed with the job its been doing. As someone who already has a robot vacuum and am familiar with owning one, I love some of the features this has to offer but am also disappointed with a few things too. The good- the fact that this thing can detect carpet on its own and then lift its mopper to avoid getting the carpet wet is the entire reason I find any value in this particular vacuum. My Bob Sweep was working just fine, and has a mop feature but I couldn't use it without getting the carpet wet and I had to manually fill it each time. Just being able to fill the reservoir and then sent it on its way whenever I feel like it and my carpet and rugs stay dry, its worth price of this device. I also like how quiet it is compared to my last vacuum. It was so quiet I had a hard time believing it was actually getting anything accomplished. But when I emptied the dirt canister today... I was blown away. Now the bad- The mapping is terrible, it has a really hard time navigating over rugs without bunching them up, and it seems to get lost or confused very easily. So, the mapping technology could REALLY use some work. You can't even zoom in and see where the vacuum has been and where it hasn't when its running. If it needs to go back to charge or empty, you can see what all still needs to be done. Also, after the first mapping session, it doesn't continue learning. My last (significantly cheaper) vacuum would continue learning and adapting the map every time it would run. Every rug we have it seems to lift corners/edges and then bunches it all up and then has to lift itself off it, but its great that it can lift itself off and continue on. And then the way it gets lost. Today it went to vacuum and I'm not sure what prompted it taking off, so I immediately canceled it and told it to return to dock. It was 3 ft from the dock. It made a loop around the perimeter of half my house before I started blocking it off to make it return to the dock. I didn't want to listen to it. There no reason it couldn't have just turned right around and returned to the dock. All that aside, its still worth owning. I do really like this vacuum. It does a great job and even with dogs and an indoor/outdoor cat on our hobby farm, that also regularly wear our shoes in, I can finally start wearing white socks again! Also, if you get this/own this, dont let your dirty water sit. I emptied the dirty water today and omg... after just a few weeks, it got so smelly! Lol! I'll be emptying that weekly now! ... show more

  • Overall very happy with this product.
Color: Cool Grey
My Usage and Overall Comments: ============================== Have had the Bot for 2-3 weeks now. Mostly used on 2nd floor (bedrooms/bathrooms/Loft area) which is 90% carpet. I mapped this floor only. Occasionally used on 1st floor, which is about 50% carpet. (Not mapped). Overall it seems to do a pretty good job, keeping in mind these Bot Vacs are not meant for DEEP cleaning carpets. Much quieter than my old Neato Botvac80! Cleans my 2nd floor on a single charge with BOOST cleaning, and recharging takes about 3 hours. Overall I feel it's a good Robot Vac, but wouldn't spend more than $300 for it. Floor Mapping Review: ============================== - My 2nd floor is about 1,000sq ft and it takes about 10-12 mins to map it. - It's not the greatest at mapping. It will sometimes take 2-3 "Explore" runs for it to get it right because it occasionally misses entire wall sections. - Adding/Changing/Removing Room Labels and No-Go Zones on the app is pretty easy. If you're older, it's easier to do it on a Tablet vs the phone. - I noticed that once it completes the entire cleaning run on the 2nd floor, it seems like it internally compares the results with the full map(??), and if it detects area's that it missed it will go back to them to clean them. When it does do that, it doesn't always clean them in the most efficient order, often running from one end of the house to the other to address these areas. I have also seen this behavior when tasked with cleaning a specific room. It's will sometimes bounce around in the room getting the spots it feels it missed. - There have been times where I've seen it do several clockwise/counter-clockwise spins in the same spot as if it's trying to decide where to go next. Sometimes these crazy spins can last 30-40 seconds. - So far no problems with it finding the Base Unit and Docking with it. - Mapping is only required if you need to specify No-Go Zones or want the ability to vac a specific room(s) so you CAN do like in my case, map the most commonly vacuumed floor (ie: 2nd floor) then manually initiate a cleaning for the 1st floor. (see more about mapping in my "CONS" section). Detailed Review: ============================== PROS: - It's fairly quiet. You can actually have a conversation standing next to it as it's cleaning. - Their SHARK CLEAN app is easy to use. Again, if you are older using it on a Tablet (larger screen0 will be a better experience. - The self-vacuuming / evacuation unit works well, typically removing 95% of the bot vac's contents. - So far have not had any issues with it getting stuck in a corner, going over room thresholds/transitions, etc. - Bump avoidance it pretty good as long as objects are high enough for the Lidar Sensor to see it. - No issues transitioning between carpet and hardwood/tile surfaces. - Although it may not take the most efficient paths on occasion, and sometimes re-cleans a section(s) 2-3 times during it's total run, it does appear to do a very through clean, cleaning all the places that it possibly can reach. - It does well respecting No-Go Zones. - Ledge detection works well also, but the fall-off is only detected after about 25% of the bot is hanging over the edge - depending on it's speed. It can be nerve wracking to watch near stairs!! - The Evacuate and Resume feature is nice to have. (After every 30 mins of cleaning, it will return to the Dock to empty its dust bin then return to clean where it left off. - The Do Not Disturb Schedule works well. - The No-Go Zones work well. - Although I have not had a need for it as of yet, I'm confident the Recharge and Resume feature will work fine. FYI: - Initial WiFi Setup: I did have an issue trying to pair the Bot with my phone. I think after I rebooted my phone it finally worked. - Annoying - if you remove the Bot's dust bin while it's ON, it will complain stating it's dust bin needs to be replaced. - The foam roll filter in the Docking station gets VERY dirty real fast and needs to be cleaned every 2-3 runs. It's easy to clean, just tap over a garbage can to get the bulk off, then slide off the foam roll from it's base and rinse in a sink. Let dry completely before returning to docking station. - The Evacuation system will engage EVERY TIME you return the Bot to the dock. So if you pull the Bot off just to check the roller, as soon as you re-dock it, the evacuation system will turn on. - The Evacuation system is as loud as a typical upright vacuum, so keep that in mind when deciding on a location for it!!! - I have not tried the SCHEDULED Cleaning at all. I personally prefer to manually initiate when/where I want it to clean. CONS: - I was not able to Register the Bot via the app - kept saying "Something went wrong". Had to do it online. - The app could use some improvements/updating, like showing the current location of the BOT and what it's cleaned so far as it's running, estimated time of completion, etc. - Deleting your map when you want to do a "Re-explore" (ie: Re-Map) can take a minute or two to complete. - "Matrix" cleaning can only be performed on one room at a time. So if you have 3 kids bedrooms you want to Matrix clean you have to select one, do the cleaning, then send it out again to do the Matrix cleaning on the 2nd bedroom, etc. You might be able to work around this by setting up 3 Scheduled cleanings(??), one for each room. - The Mapping system could be MUCH better. I can understand it not mapping a shoe on the floor, but missing an entire 10-FOOT WALL SECTION??? Would be nice to have Multi-Floor/Level mapping also. - I've run into an occasional issue where after doing a manual cleaning (via press of the CLEAN button) on the 1st floor (not mapped), then using the app to vac a specific room on the 2nd floor (mapped), it will clean the room, but then starts re-cleaning the last 3-foot section over-and-over until I manually stop it. Others also have reported odd issues jumping between "Mapped" cleaning and "non-Mapped" cleaning areas. The fix for me was to delete my map and have the bot do a re-explore to build it again (and hope it does it correctly on the 1st pass). If this issue continues, I'm toying with the idea of not doing any mapping at all and just letting the Bot figure it out as it goes regardless of the floor it's on. I'll loose the No-Go Zones and Specific Room Clean functions and it will likely take longer to run, but it might be worth it until the Mapping Logic is improved. CUSTOMER SUPPORT: ============================== I did reach out to them when I had the "re-cleaning the same 3-foot section" issue after bouncing between a Mapped and Un-Mapped floor. This was during Black Friday weekend, and I only waited 5-10 minutes to speak with someone. They were OK, some easier to understand than others. I was eventually connected with one of their Technical Support staff and had to re-explain the issue. He asked if I could run the cleaning session again (I was fine with that) and he wanted to video record the Bot in action, so he sent me a link for the video connection. I was unable to get that working (Android phone issue??). He asked me to re-explain the issue to him again, and we got into a brief disagreement about how the MATRIX CLEAN function worked - he claimed that was only for "Spot cleaning", which I told him was NOT true. He finally suggested I delete my floor map and re-run another mapping session then try to replicate the problem again. I was assigned a Ticket# to reference when I called them back with my findings. After re-doing the mapping, I haven't been able to replicate the problem yet, and I'm leaning towards assuming the Bot works best with Mapped areas only, and jumping between Mapped/Non-Mapped floors is not 100% supported (???) ... show more

  • Powerful, Smart, and a Huge Time Saver – The Shark AV2501S AI Ultra Robot Vacuum is a Game-Changer! Powerful, Smart, and a Huge Time Saver – The Shark AV2501S AI Ultra Robot Vacuum is a Game-Changer!
Color: Dark Grey
I recently purchased the Shark AV2501S AI Ultra Robot Vacuum, and I’m beyond impressed with its performance, smart functionality, and powerful suction. This vacuum has completely transformed my cleaning routine, saving me hours of work while keeping my floors spotless. If you’re looking for a reliable, feature-packed robot vacuum at a great value, this one is a fantastic choice. Functionality – Smart and Efficient Cleaning One of the best things about this vacuum is how intelligent it is. The AI-powered navigation ensures that it cleans efficiently, avoiding obstacles and mapping out my home accurately. Unlike older models that randomly bounce around, this one follows a logical cleaning path, covering every inch of the floor without missing spots. The self-emptying base is another game-changer! It holds up to 30 days of dirt and debris, so I don’t have to empty it constantly. I love that I can control everything through the SharkClean app or voice assistants like Alexa, making it incredibly easy to start or schedule a cleaning session from anywhere. Coverage – Thorough and Precise Cleaning This vacuum covers every room efficiently, whether it’s hardwood, tile, or carpet. The LIDAR-based navigation allows it to map my home and clean in neat, precise rows rather than a random pattern. I was amazed at how well it navigated around furniture and under tables, reaching areas that are difficult to clean manually. It also does a great job transitioning between different floor types. Whether it’s hardwood to carpet or tile to rugs, it adjusts seamlessly without getting stuck. Suction – Powerful and Effective The Shark AV2501S AI Ultra delivers incredible suction power. It picks up dust, pet hair, and even larger debris with ease. I have pets, and this vacuum handles pet hair exceptionally well, keeping my floors fur-free. Even on carpets, it does a fantastic job lifting deep-seated dirt, making it look freshly vacuumed every time. The UltraClean mode provides an extra boost of suction, perfect for high-traffic areas. Traction – Moves Smoothly and Avoids Obstacles I was pleasantly surprised by how well this vacuum moves across different surfaces. It rarely gets stuck, even on high-pile rugs or uneven flooring. The wheels provide excellent traction, ensuring smooth movement without slipping or struggling to climb over small obstacles. It also detects and avoids cords, furniture, and small objects, so I don’t have to worry about it getting tangled or knocking things over. Noise Level – Surprisingly Quiet Compared to traditional vacuums, this robot vacuum is noticeably quieter. While it’s not completely silent, the noise level is low enough that I can watch TV or take a phone call without disruption while it cleans. Even the self-emptying base is quieter than expected. While it makes a brief loud noise when emptying the dustbin, it only lasts a few seconds and isn’t bothersome. Time Saver – A True Cleaning Assistant The biggest benefit of this vacuum is the time it saves. I no longer have to vacuum every day, and my floors stay consistently clean with minimal effort. I can simply schedule a cleaning session through the app or voice assistant, and it takes care of the rest. • I must have gotten a lemon
Color: Dark Grey
I purchased this in November 2023. It was my first robovac and I specifically chose it because it was touted as being good on pet hair. I was skeptical, having three dogs and a cat, but it was on sale so I thought I would give it a shot. Pros: cleans exceptionally well (better than the other robovac I now own...more about that later). It's quiet, the app is easy enough to use, although not as good as the app for the other vac I own. It also does not require separate receptable bag purchases for debris as it has a built in container you just have to empty. Cons: In January, after using it about 2x a week since November, it stopped working inexplicably, throwing an error that there was a blockage under the top cover. I followed the help videos online to clear it to no avail. An internet search alarmingly returned others who reported this issue and mentioned it was something about a band underneath the top cover. Not wanting to crack it open and void the warranty, I called tech support. It was 30 minutes of scratchy, broken live video support as the person walked me through the steps I already completed. At the end, he confirmed I needed a new unit but informed me that "since this was first issue, shipping on the replacement would be free but any future ones would require a fee." Not a happy camper about that, but I figured...hey they are shipping a new one so I should be okay. The new one is the body, so you have to change out all the rollers, battery, and hook it up to your existing doc. All fine, hooked up and back in business. (In the meantime, I had purchased a completely different robovac and liked a lot its features better so I used it for the 2x a week and the Shark was relegated to 1x a week deep clean since it had better suction.) Fast forward to end of October and suddenly it refuses attach to the dock. It just says "docking", attaches to the dock, unattaches, and tries again...over and over and over. I checked online for this issue and the only recommendation was to clean the connection pads. Did that. Same issue. I turned it off, waited a few days, and tried again. Not resolved. I'm also just outside the warranty period. The problem with it not docking is if it can't recognize the dock, it can't charge. It also can't dock and empty the vacuum. So here I am with a dead robovac. When I'm spending almost $400 and use something less than 100 times, I expect it to last longer. I also expect warranty coverage to be trouble free and not threatened with additional charges. The other robovac is a Eufy L60 with docking station. In comparison, the Shark had better suction and was more thorough, out cleaning Eufy's deep clean mode. The Eufy app, while a little bit more difficult to navigate, had a better display as it showed, in real time and after the fact, the cleaning trail of the robot. (Shark just showed that the room was either in progress or done.) Shark had the empty canister; Eufy requires you to purchase disposable dust bags. Both require regular cleaning of rollers and filter replacements. When working, both are better than manually vacuuming. To be fair, my Eufy is also near the end of its warranty and is throwing an error on the roller brush that won't clear. However, the Eufy has cleaned more before having issues than the Shark and cost about the same so Eufy, to date, has been the better purchase. I'd give Eufy a 4 at this point since it still vacuums even with the error and hopefully I can bump that to a 5 if customer service is helpful. As for the Shark. I hesitate between a 1 and 2 star. I'm only giving it two because of some of the features, but it probably deserves a 1 because those features are worthless if I can't use it and they don't appear to stand by their warranty. It should be a "one and done" not a "year" if they aren't going to stand by their product. ... show more
