The handles are very comforatable. It is heavy but easy to lift because of the small handle on the side. The high sides makes it easy to cook large portions without spilling. It is a superior product to replace the square orange pan I liked because of its shape but did not last.

Be aware that this pan requires some assembly - which surprised me when I first unpacked it because it's a pan and I'd never seen a pan that needed assembly. You have to attach the handles, FYI. I'll get to that in a minute. Size - this is a great skillet for making a skillet meal. I've used it to cook up to 4 lbs of diced chicken plus other bulky ingredients like beans and tomatoes thrown in without any issues. It heats and cooks evenly and cleans up very easily with a non-abrasive sponge and dish soap. The only down side for me was the assembly. I'm SO challenged in assembling anything so I was a bit dismayed to find the handles weren't attached. I did manage to get them on...once I figured out which side each handle went on (which for most people is probably obvious but for me? Not so much). And, so far, they haven't fallen off so I'm guessing I did it right. Note: this pan is kinda heavy and it's a struggle to drain off grease since I really should use both hands to hold the skillet steady which leaves me with no hand to hold the lid over the top. ... show more

After an exhaustive, and exhausting search for a non toxic fry pan I finally decided on this one and it was the right choice. I love the way it cooks and cleaning it is a breeze. I really like the lack of rivits holding the handles on providing a smooth finish inside. The only draw back is that since it is cast aluminum it is very heavy which is the reason I rated it four stars instead of five. However, I think may only only apply the colors with the black interior ( although it is actually gray/gray and not black/black in case that would affect your decision.) The listing actually combines this particular pan with the ceramic version and if you don't re-read the description you will end up with a different pan than you think you are ordering. It is not a ceramic coating. Just be careful. All that said, it is a great pan. ... show more

I bought 2 sizes of this brand of pan. I needed to replace my 8 y/o nonstick set, which has lost its nonstick ability. These pans are definitely nonstick & I use them to cook everything. They are effortless to clean. Just wipe off with a sponge, no elbow grease needed. The off white color is really modern looking, I wanted something different instead of my standard black. They are heavy weight & durable. Handles stay cool. I have not used them in the oven yet, but they are supposed to be oven safe.
