please do not waste your money on this!! I haven’t even had it for a month and it started leaking urine from the cracks. all over my new floor! it also gets stuck when cleaning the clumped litter and malfunctions leaving you with a messy litter box your kitties will not want to use. not worth the money at all. ... show more

The self cleaning litter box arrived well packed and in good shape. Assembly was straight forward and effortless. It took a few minutes to figure out the instructions for adding litter but then it made sense. Read the manual, added the smart phone app easily, and was off and running. Our two cats have had no problems with the box and took to it quickly. (They both are kittens.) The small booklet does well explaining what all the different lights mean so keep it handy unless you are used to these things. I love the ease of disassembly for cleaning and reassembly. It's well constructed with sturdy plastic. Works flawlessly to clean the litter. Love the dump canister for easy and quick waste disposal. I like it. Not sure why others are having issues. This is my first litter box like this so I have nothing to compare it to, but it helps with room odor as well so I'm happy with it. ... show more

This thing works maybe 20% of the time. The rest of the time was spent messing with it until whatever sensor detection system actually functioned properly. The thing that really annoys me about this product is that it completely stops its cycle when it detects "something wrong" which isn't anything wrong and is just some sort of bag problem. I still haven't even figured it out, when I go to check it things are fine but the litter bot thinks there is something wrong. When this device stops its cycle, my cats don't use the restroom in there because there isn't any litter for them to do so! I have to sit and spam the clean button until the device decides to very slowly revert back to before its cycle. On top of all of that, it leaks pee and it smells AWFUL. I thought the icky stuff was supposed to stay INSIDE of the machine and not leak out. Did they not test this? Don't buy this pos. ... show more

Overall, because of the price point, this was worth it for me. Is it perfect? No. It was easy to assemble and took max 30min to set up. I like the design but I don’t think it can accommodate for cats as large as advertised. Mine weighs 13lbs and he seems a bit confined in there. I am having issues with the app (this just could be user error. I’m not good with tech). It’s not registering my cats weight or how long he uses it. That wasn’t a huge concern for me though. The main function of tracking and manual cleaning meets my needs. Cleaning wise - It’s okay. I’ve noticed it leaves clumps sometimes. I may just need more litter, I’m not sure. Pros: Sensor is very sensitive with identifying anything around it and will stop/pause cleaning immediately. You could use tofu litter without issue. You can set the amount of time it will wait until it starts cleaning. CONS: The scooping grate has rather large holes, so it doesn't always catch the little pieces of poop. It us rather small, I have British Shorthair cats and they are very crowded inside when using it and I have had instances where they faced the wrong way and ended up going outside the box. I like the concept, but if there is anything that gets down in the track, it will streak over the box. I constantly get errors on my machines, and have to reset it. Overall, they work and get the job done. I purchased 2 for the 8 cats I have and they keep up, as long as they don't error and have to be reset. Would I purchase these again? Probably not. I have a different auto scoop box I purchased over a year ago and while it was much larger and the bin had to be emptied more often, I never had as much trouble as I do with these. I thought this would be a simpler way to avoid that awful cat litter smell but the urine just leaks through into the base of the litter box and creates that horrible ammonia smell. Then when the device does the self cleaning it has to rotate and it rotates in the urine sitting at the bottom which gets it all over the whole outer area. The scent packets to help with the waste bin do not do anything either. I even sprayed them with deodorant and Febreeze but it still smelled like a dead animal anytime you lifted that lid. ... show more

Easy to set up and down the app on smart phone or tablet and have control of when to clean the box. I like the oval shape and less kitty litter mess on the floor. It doesn’t move when cats jump in it. When litter bag in back is full, it will let me know that it needs to be changed out. Just simply open the back and pull out bag, discard it and put in fresh litter bag. Mind that you don’t put a lot of clean litter in or other wise, it will discard the excess into the bag. Cats aren’t disturbed and it saves me from cleaning and no smell. The device isn’t very loud although you can hear it. ... show more
