Bought this to fill a spot in my Synology NAS. Looked up the serial number and Seagate reported, "this product was originally sold as part of a larger system. Please contact the system manufacturer or place of purchase for warranty support." Of course, the WHOLE REASON to buy one of these Exos NAS drives is for their FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY, which Seagate reliably stands behind.
