    • Great drive so far !!
I was able to install this 6TB drive into a Reolink 8 channel unit, with no issues. It was a snap and now I have 3x the recording time from my prior 2TB drive. Heck'n Yeah! One side note, it does make a tiny bit of noise compared to my old 2TB, but I barely notice it, as the drive head moves around.

I bought the 6TB model to replace a 2TB Seagate Skyhawk that came with my Lorex NVR running 6x 4K cameras. Lorex tech support verified that the NVR will work with up to a 6, so thats what I bought. Swapped out the drive easily enough, formatted the drive and was back up and running. I must say that this 6TB drive makes a lot more noise than its predecessor. The 2TB drive it replaced was whisper quiet. On this 6TB model I can hear the read/write heads moving. Nothing wrong with the drive, some models are just louder. The NVR sits on top of a computer desk hutch, and when I am at the computer is when I can hear it. ... show more

After only 6 months of use this hard drive failed. no longer able to be seen by windows or my bios. I bought a 6tb external drive caddy and got the same results. my advice is don't purchase this drive, it will only let you down.
