I have been using a pair of these drives in my NAS for 2 days, so this is not a review of their longevity. They both work perfectly, and are very fast in my NAS. They are a bit noisy. I ordered 5, because I usually assume that with renewed I'll get 1-2 DOA. I had ero DOA, all 5 passed extended S.M.A.R.T. test. Power on time was at <24h. At this point, I'm pretty impressed. Value is incredible at $99USD. At $129 USD (Price at time of writing)...IDK. I'll update if/when drives die.

I have ordered renewed drives from this seller before with no issue so I bought two of these on sale to put into RAID 1. One showed up fine, about 29 hours of powerup time, no errors. The other refused to spin up although it did draw power. Had to contact the seller, who got back to me in a day and with some back and forth got me an RMA. Sent out same day. Unfortunately UPS arrival estimate is a week from when I dropped it off, and the seller stated testing could take up to 48 hours. Will revisit this rating when I hear back/receive a replacement for the dead drive. Also note if you order multiple drives and need to return some Amazon doesn't know how to accept part of a shipment for return (what??) so you need to deal with the seller. ... show more
