  • Excellent quality, price and storage and very fast shipping.
I bought two 14TB drives that looks like new at $147.50 each in 2/22/23, sealed and with a 5 year warranty card from goHardDrive(not checked). The drive were easy to connect to my new purchased Legion 7i PC from Feb 2023, not like my old 10TB HGST hard drives that didn't work because the power disable that has problems with new SATA power supply. The two drives came sealed and looks like new, like I said, and after a DiskGenius bad sector sect, they were much better than my 1 year Samsung Evo 1TB SSD drives. The bad sector check were: Seagate Barracuda Pro 14TB - 1649603 Excellent, 52528 Good, Normal 2, Gen 0, Poor 0, Severe 0, Dam 0. Seagate Barracuda Pro 14TB - 1663350 Excellent, 38777 Good, Normal 6, General & additional 0. My 1 year used Samsung EVO 1TB SSD - 690 Excellent, 120912 Good, Normal & additional 0. My Lenovo Legion 7i only have a capacity for 2 internal SATA 3.5 and 4 SSD 2.5 drives, so I planning to use the two Seagate Barracuda Pro at first for a Raid 0 game & video library, and my 3 HGST 10TB drives as external backup for now. I was looking for high capacity hard drives for weeks and I got lucky and very happy with the price and quality from GoHardrive, so I will be happy to make another purchase in the future from them again. I'm also happy with Amazon because GoHardrive can't ship to US Puerto Rico on Ebay but they can on Amazon. ... show more

  • Yo, man, like lots of room!
Of course this is an impressive hard drive at 14 TB. I was a little concerned about "renewed". OK, a lot concerned based on other reviews. I bought a pair and formatted one in a "toaster" (external USB device for using internal hard drives in case you're thinking of an actual toaster) and did an overnight backup of around 1 TB. The computer shut down overnight and the drive didn't want to spin up the next day, so being paranoid, I was concerned it wasthe drive. I think it was primarily an issue with the toaster and computer rather than the drive. Next I installed the drive in a bay in the computer, connected the power and SATA cables, but my system couldn't see it. The BIOS could see it, but the OS (Disk Management) could not. Later read that it might be a cable quality issue. Swapped it out with the unformatted other drive. Same thing. Tried a third time to really push the cables at both ends, and this time Disk Management could see it just fine. So the moral of the story is that I'm a little distrustful of these large drives in the first place, the renewed moniker made me very concerned, but the price convinced me to give them a try. They both work great as far as I can tell, once I got the cables REALLY seated properly, so I'm looking forward to consolidating some backups across smaller drives so that I have one large internal backup and one large external backup. Of course neither, even together, would ever be my only backup! Heck of a deal if they hold up over time. ... show more

  • Great deal on this one
I happened to get a really good one with this. After installing the drive, the first thing I did was run a series of tests with SeaTools. This particular device came to me with only 21 hours of use, which, to me, equates to getting a really good deal on a used car with almost no mileage on it. I expect to get years of use out of this drive, and would buy more when able. ... show more

  • A bargain, but noisy
Like most people reading these reviews, I was worried about the refurbished part of this deal, but given the pricing I decided it was worth a shot. I immediately put it through its paces, copying around 3 Terabytes to it as soon as it arrived, and had zero problems, so I can't complain about that. Decent transfer rates as well. The only complaint is that it is quite noisy, far noisier than the barracuda it was replacing. You will definitely hear it when it's being accessed, and the grindy-sound is more than a little annoying. But considering it quadrupled the amount of space I had, it was worth the trade off for me. I probably wouldn't use it as the OS drive though, or the constant access noise might drive you nuts. ... show more

  • Worth buying
I am a gamer and such as I have an extensive library of over a thousand games for PC. Range from Ubisoft, Epic, Blizzard and Steam. This Hard-drive is fast to reading and writing, took little to no time to install into my rig, and although I do have a NAS 32tb, this drive provided the space to install my games to play. Wonderful drive for sure ... show more

  • Incredible Value!
Got this item refurbished and a month in its been excellent. No problems and quick speeds with huge capacity. Only issue is it can be noisy when worling super hard or when you first power it up.
