  • 28 Terabytes (25+ Tebibytes Windows)
Style: Expansion Desktop HDD Capacity: 28TB Color: DESKTOP
The best size density in the world is under USD 10,000 (06/2025). I have used this product for a month, combined 10 older hard drives, and tossed them away. I have about 2 million files on the disk, including a million academic articles and 100K personal and published legal files. This will allow my computer to fully index and access all my files, legal writings, legal, medical, philosophical, sociological, psychological, surgical, nursing, pathology, and other knowledge domains. This drive enables me to perform enterprise-level work while my income is below the poverty line. I once accidentally lost power because I unplugged it while it was writing files, but no disk errors were identified. I position the drive stabilized, cables secured, and an air-filtered fan constantly blows on it. This 28 Terabyte (TB) HDD [25 Tebibytes (TiB standard; listed as TB in Windows) will enable me to achieve my goals in ways that I have envisioned for the past 15 years. ... show more

  • CMR Drive, Enclosure slows down transfer speeds.
Style: Expansion Desktop HDD Capacity: 22TB Color: DESKTOP
This is a CMR drive. The enclosure speed stabilizes at 260 MB/s, but after a bit the enclosure drops the speed down to around 110 MB/s. I swapped the drive into my other enclosure and the drive maintained 120 MB/s to 190 MB/s for 7 TBs worth of data. Only dropped down to 120 MB/s because of the type of data being transferred. Should maintain 190 MB/s if data is large and simple data. This is the cheapest new drive per TB on the market. 24 TB should be CMR, but 26 TB and 28 TB might be SMR. ... show more

  • Ton's of cheap storage for your Data archiving needs.
Style: Expansion Desktop HDD Capacity: 28TB Color: DESKTOP
Great drive for its value. Backed up 8TB worth of video's from my Seagate 20TB Exos drive to this drive today and the average transfer rate was 252 MB/s and the whole operation took about 10 hours. That's a very good rate for an HDD not in RAID config. Also drive has good ventilation as it never crossed 40C during the whole write operation. Unlike my exos drive which are quite loud i didn't hear this drive at all about 2 feet away from me. ... show more

  • Great option for PS5
Style: Portable HDD Capacity: 2TB Color: PORTABLE
Ive been using this thing for a long time already, and really don’t have anything bad to say about it. While the PS5 (original for me) can’t play games from this directly, it’s still a very good option for storage. At 2 TB it holds a lot of games. It does take some time to initially move them into the drive, especially if you’re moving several things at once, but it still ends up being worth it in my opinion, as most games copy in less than 10 minutes versus potentially taking several hours to download. It’s also good to know that once you’re done with a game, you don’t have to move it again as the copy of it is already stored on the drive, so you can just delete it and be done, and copy it again if you feel like revisiting it. As a bonus, the drive not only can also store PS4 games, but the console can play those games directly from the drive, and has done so flawlessly. That makes this a great option for managing your console storage and maximizing the amount of games you can play at any given time. ... show more

  • Know the difference between physical and functional capacity of this drive
Style: Expansion Desktop HDD Capacity: 24TB Color: DESKTOP
Usually, I don't buy Seagate drives, but I got one portable 5TB bought 5 years ago and to this date it's still functional, relatively fast and silent. Because a new project, I needed a heavy desktop external drive, in the 18 to 26 TB range. From all options for sale, the Seagate 24 Tb looked the best option in terms of prize and capacity, so I ordered it through Amazon. The package arrived relatively fast, the box in which the HDD came was intact, when connected the device worked perfectly. But...the first thing I noticed was that the HDD was silent but vibrates so strong that you can feel it in the entire desk when using it. The second thing, for my disappointment, was that the real amount of free space goes down to 22 TB. Yes, I know there's a difference between physical capacity and functional capacity, but in previous experiences with other External HDDs including the 5bTB Seagate personal drive, the difference goes between 100Mb to a 1Tb in worst scenario, because the software included and other factors maybe, but 2 TB absent shocked me. When I added the amount of used space by the visible software include in the device, the amount goes up to 173 Mb, not 2TB.Looked for the help page of Seagate to verify, they say it's normal to get lower free space than the physical capacity. Thats OK, but the 5TB personal drive from Seagate I already use, when used first time the difference was just 0.25 against 4.75 TB of free space available. As far I know, where those 2TB are used it's a mystery. Maybe its something related to Seagate's design (The more physical capacity, less functional capacity). Anyway, the functional capacity still's huge for the purpose used so I will keep the device. ... show more

  • Seagate’s 16TB Drive: A Game-Changer for Content Creators!
Style: Expansion Desktop HDD Capacity: 16TB Color: DESKTOP
As a YouTuber, I generate tons of video footage and need reliable storage to keep my videos safe. Over time, my collection has grown, and cloud storage isn’t always the best option—so external hard drives are a must. I’ve purchased three Seagate drives before, including a five-terabyte and two two-terabyte models, and they’ve all performed well. Now, with my storage filling up fast, I decided to go big with this massive 16TB Seagate drive—and wow, it delivers! It arrived perfectly packaged and right on time, but what really surprised me was the thoughtful inclusion of a kit with international adapters for practically every plug type in the world. That’s an unexpected bonus! I hooked it up instantly, and it’s been running like a champ from the start. This drive is the ultimate storage solution for content creators or anyone who needs serious space. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase! ... show more

  • Easy setup, lots of storage.
Style: Expansion Desktop HDD Capacity: 8TB Color: DESKTOP
I bought the 8Tb external drive just about 2 weeks ago and so far so good. I've had bad luck with other external drives that stopped working after a few months, so while it's still early, I'm hopeful I'll be using this for the foreseeable future. My only advice is buy a separate USB cable, the one that it came with had terrible transfer rates, I used a different one that I bought and my transfer speeds doubled. ... show more
