They're pretty much relatively easy to install you. Just open the box. You take the little protector off the end. You stick it on your windshield and you press the little button to secure the suction mount. When I installed mine. I used some glass cleaner and clean to my windshield and the area was going to put the suction part so that way I can ensure I would get a good bond. And the metal part that supposed to go on your phone. What I did there is my phone has a case on it and I just stuck it in between the case and the phone itself without peeling the little adhesive slip off of it. So that way if I want to change cases or if I change phones I can just pull the metal part out and put it into another phone. It's still holds pretty well through a case depending on how thick your case is. I cannot vouch for wireless charging because I do not have a wireless charging dock for my phone. ... show more

I wanted something STRONG that could hold my phone vertically in the car with normal driving conditions - where my phone kept falling off my previous 4-magnet mount. So I found this 8 magnet version. Pros: 8-magnets make a very strong magnetic hold and works well through most driving conditions except for really hard bumps on potholes/speedbumps...etc. The only thing stronger would be the 10-magnet Wixgear rectangular model. As long as your mounting surface is clean (and NEVER treated with Armor All), the double sided tape holds firm and strong. So if you're looking for something stronger than the standard 4-magnet mounts, this would probably be on your list. Cons: As shown in the photo, the rubber surface can get quite tired-looking and ugly with use. Also, this isn't exactly thin (0.47 inches). There's some bulk to it. So in situations where aesthetics are important, this may not look that great. The way the magnets are arranged inside the square, it looks possible that maybe an additional 2-4 more magnets could possibly be added by the manufacturer to make this an even stronger product (ie; magnet arrangement doesn't make very efficient use of space inside the mount - making this possibly bulkier than necessary). ... show more

I have owned this mount for close to two years. I know this mount is meant for tablets but I have only used it for my large Galaxy Note phones. I'm happy it it for the most part, but I would desire some improvements. This does work better than the normal sized mount meant for phones for my heavy phone. This has held my phone well on most days. I do use both the metal plates it comes with, lined one below the other on the back of my phone, but I find that this allows me just slap my phone on it without having to strategically place it on. This also prevents the phone from sliding or falling off the mount. I have not stuck the metal plates to my phone nor my case, instead placed them between my phone and case. I like switching out my case every so often so I like that I can move the plates from one phone to another. Because of the way I place the metal plates, I can't always use this with all of my cases, especially if the case is too thick. It works best with flat backed cases and/or dual layered cases, where I would place the plates between the layers. One major con is that if my car I parked in the heat, the suction cup of the mount will detach from the base plate it adheres to. You don't notice this until you start driving and the weight off the phone pulls the mount off. I usually have to let the suction cup completely cool down before I can attach it back. I have successfully attached it back several times, but it does render it useless during some hot summer days. If you found this review helpful please give it a thumbs up. When the product arrived (on time), I took it out of the package. The instructions had 4 steps (but 3 could've worked for me) that were easy to follow. Not only does the Magic Mount put together in only 2 steps (if you attach to a case, if not, use the direct phone attachment mylar included with the product & now we're up to a mind-blowing 3 steps), it's so easy to get the phone off the magnet a child could do it but it won't come off the magnet unless you tilt & pull away. I could put my phone on the magnet & shake as hard as I could (half expecting my phone to come off but I couldn't shake the thing off & I'm no soy-boy) but the magnet held. The mount also comes off the window easily so I can take it from my work truck to my vehicle anytime but I'm just getting another mount for the car. My sun shield easily fits around the mount so this thing works well in any climate. The roads in Mississippi aren't always the smoothest & I never got a hint of this thing coming off the mount. I'm buying more of these things & they'll make a great gift! ... show more

For the price, sure, I should be satisfied that it worked for 4 years with barely any issues. However, now it falls off my windshield almost everyday, and sometimes many times throughout the day. I've tried washing it as suggested, that did help for a couple days, but I think the suction just isn't there anymore. I like the strength of the magnet. But it's basically unusable now because I cannot rely on it to stay attached to the windshield. 5 Stars for 3 years, 1 star for the 4th year... It's basically just a piece of trash now and I can't decide if I want to buy another one or try to find a way just to replace the suction cup with something much stronger/durable. I'll try to reach out to the manufacturer and see if they have any other suggestions... But my hopes aren't set too high because again, it is a great price for the amount of use I've got from it. ... show more
