Right out of the box the black cherry scent was absolutely amazing. The box came with the fragrance scent sealed very well in a box and then with a special seal like a baby medicine without the hole. Basically a plastic ribbed insert that was easy for me to remove, but could be challenging if you can't grip small things with enough strength to pull it out. The five reeds are also in their own clear plastic covering, just pull the end open and remove as many sticks as you want to allow however much projection of the scent you are looking for. I wanted to put this in the bedroom bathroom by the window, but didn't want too strong of a scent so it can be smelled into the bedroom, so I only put in two of the five sticks. So far, I can't smell it from a couple feet away after 12 hours. When I get home from work today it will be the 24 hours that the instructions said to turn the sticks over, so we'll see how the scent fills tonight. I want to limit the scent projection to about 10 feet, so I may have to add another stick, possibly two. We'll see. If after adding nearly all the sticks, and turning them around after 24 hours, still doesn't provide enough projection, I will come back and update. I want to smell this though, as that black cherry scent is fabulous.

This is such a great option for diffuser oil as well as decoration piece. We put it in our bathroom and it’s perfect for the space. The scent is mild and fresh. It looks so cute for the space. However it doesn’t last as long as I wish. 3 weeks for half of the bottle with 3 sticks used. Even after it’s finished I will still keep it as a decoration or buy more essential oil and refill it.

I've been been using diffusers such as this for a few years now in various rooms around my house. They are generally similar: 4-6 reeds are provided, which are to be placed in the essential oils. The fragrance is absorbed by the reeds. This set comes with 5 reeds. It's important to note that the more reeds you use, the faster the oils will evaporate (and the stronger the scent). I'm only using 3 reeds. The scent is a subjective area: This one is jasmine and I find it pleasant, but I wouldn't use this in a small room. I tried it in a small bathroom and it was a bit too strong. I moved it to a much larger room and it's perfect. The set comes with artificial flowers which are intended to be pushed into the liquid. I decided not to use them that way: I have them sticking out of the bottle the way you'd put flowers in a vase. This is a very nice diffuser overall: Recommended.
