I originally bought this magnetic car mount for my son, but quickly realized it wouldn’t work well with his phone case since it isn’t MagSafe compatible. Because of that, I decided to keep it for myself and use it in my own car with my iPhone and MagSafe case. It does come with a magnet you can stick to your phone case, but we didn't want anything stuck to the case. Installation was very easy, especially using the vent mount option. I didn’t want anything permanently stuck to my dashboard, so this setup was perfect. It clipped on securely and hasn’t moved around while driving. The magnetic connection works well and holds my phone in place during normal driving, turns, and bumps. While the magnet isn’t quite as strong as I expected, it has been reliable enough for everyday use. My phone hasn’t fallen off, even on rougher roads. I also like how compact and clean the design is. It doesn’t block my view and keeps my phone right where I need it for navigation and hands-free use. Buy it! My vents are kinda weird for phone holders I only have a small area to clip onto and this one is the perfect size. It’s small enough that it doesn’t block my screen but strong enough to stay clipped on. The magnet is super strong and you can twist it around at different angles.

I gave this little vent‑clip mount a shake‑down on a weekend road trip, and the first thing that impressed me was the magnet: it snaps an iPhone 16 into place with a satisfying thunk and never let go, even over pothole‑pocked backroads. The steel hook clamp feels more secure than the usual spring‑loaded claws I’ve tried, and installation took less than a minute—loosen the knob, slide the hook behind the vent blade, tighten until snug. Because the arm pushes the phone a few inches away from the louvers, I can still nudge plenty of air around the cabin and easily swivel the screen toward the driver’s seat without blocking the whole vent face. Living with it day‑to‑day, a few quirks surfaced. On rough pavement the phone bounces slightly more than mounts that park it flat against the vent, a trade‑off for that handy extension arm. And while the hook system is rock‑solid on horizontal or vertical slats, it’s a non‑starter for circular vents and anything thicker than about an eighth of an inch—worth double‑checking before you click “Buy Now.” I also discovered that pulling the phone straight off the magnet can yank the vent fin if you’re not gentle; sliding it sideways works much better and spares the plastic blades. Overall, though, this is the first MagSafe holder I’ve kept in place longer than a week. It frees up my cup holder, angles easily for navigation, and looks clean and low‑profile on the dash. At roughly thirteen bucks on sale, it punches well above its price class—just remember to pair it with a MagSafe case (or the included metal ring) if you’re rocking an older or non‑Apple device. It is easy to use and set up. Good durable quality so far. I have used it for a couple weeks. Magnetic strength is great. It is very portable as it can be used in most vehicles. It functions well. My phone is heavy and I do find that the weight of the phone can cause the car mount to fall slightly thus the reason for 4 stars. It is not a charger so no charging available. You will need to use your own cord in your car and place it in an appropriate position for charging. I really like it and would buy it again. ... show more
