This color is great on my hair which is very dark brown with red sort of undertone naturally. It looks like a really dark color when in normal light, or in the dark, but in the sun it has a fiery red highlight and I love that. I wash my hair every other day, so no, it doesn’t last long and I have to redo it a lot, but that is because of the frequency of my hair washing. It will last through the amount of washes it claims on the box, I just use them up fast. When it fades a bit the highlight isn’t as red, but it’s still there. I have never seen this color in any other boxed dye. If your hair is drier, condition your hair really well after using. Not just with what’s included, but get a good conditioner. I have very dry hair, all dyes make that worse. If you are sitting in the sun, it will look dark where the sun is not hitting and red where it is. I think that’s awesome. One more thing, when you apply it, it will look pastel pink after you first mix it, it will turn orange on your head while processing, then it will turn dark purple and it rinses red like someone has been slaughtered in your shower, and if no one has, then it’s just the dye has changed completely. but don’t let all this change make you think you were sent the wrong dye or worry you. The first time I mixed it and it was pastel pink I thought I might have bought the incorrect color. But that’s just how it is.

Firstly, I love this color, when first done I thought it was a little dark but by the next day it was nearly the exact color on the box, I was nervous it might not be after seeing some of the other reviews. I naturally have very dark brown hair maybe a shade or two above black so im very happy with the results. Secondly, I havent dyed my hair in over 6 years as I couldn't find a dye in the color I liked that didn't irritat the crap out of my skull for about 2-3 weeks after, so i just quit dying my hair. I am happy to say that this dye gave me no reaction at all, no itching, no dry scalp, nothing. So for those of you that get irritated by hair dye this might work for you. I purposely didn't wash my hair for 2 days before dying just to help aswell. All in all very happy and will definitely purchase again.

This is a very saturated color. It has a deep purple base different from the picture. Only use this if you truly like the color because it's almost impossible to remove.

Wow ! Just wow! I was a level 7-8 medium blonde with some brassy tones. This new color is great. Now I’m the color that is on the box. The high lift worked great. This is my new color choice now.

I wish I had read the reviews before I wasted my money and time on this! I used the Light Brown to cover the Light Golden Brown that I had used previously. I applied to the gray area that had grown out first and waited before applying to the rest of my hair. I followed every step in the instructions. Not only was the color uneven but it turn my hair AUBURN not Light Brown. Other faults of the product were: 1. Strong unpleasant scent which made it hard to breath. In fact, it is so strong that my husband with asthma had to leave and use his inhaler. And he was in the next room. 2. I have fairly thin, shoulder length hair and yet it took every drop I could squeeze out of the bottle and comb through my hair to completely cover my hair. 3. It is very difficult to rinse out. It doesn't lather up like most hair colors do. It actually got sticky when I added water to rinse it out. I had to add shampoo to wash it all out. 4. It takes half of the tube of conditioner for one treatment. Other brands that I've used that have the same size tube, lasts long enough for up to six treatments. 5. Even though I left the conditioner on for 15 minutes my hair still turned out dry with no shine. 6. It's more expensive than the other hair color I've used that have performed better. The only reason I tried this was because of all the hype I've heard and seen. I'll go back to the hair color I've used for 30 years. The reason I haven't named the product I normally use is because I don't want anyone to think that this review is meant to promote that brand and smear this one. This is my honest opinion based on my experience. To sum it up...all I have to say is READ THE REVIEWS!

I used 2 boxes of 1.8 ruby noir because I have a long and thick hair. I love how it turned out. I did bleach few pieces of my hair before I put the color. The color does not fade fast. I get a lot of compliments on my hair.
