Just because it's permanent, don't think you don't need to lighten your hair. I had been using semi permanent color on my daughter's hair for about 6 months, but was getting really sick of constantly refreshing it because she loves long, hot showers. The back of her hair was always extra faded because of standing in the shower. I was so excited to find a fucsia permanent dye! Finally, I would have to redo her hair all the time. It still fades (especially in hot water), but it stays vibrant so much longer!! I've saved so much money because we can go 6 weeks between coloring instead of 3, and it looks good that whole time. Just make sure your hair is light enough to receive the color. While medium brown hair will change some, it won't be bright. You can see the difference between her bleached hair and her natural hair in the photo. The top inch and a half or so was her natural medium brown hair and the rest was bleached to a medium yellow (it's a deep enough color that you don't need to go as light as you would for pastels). We only bleach every 3 months, and we colour twice in that time. The color over her natural hair isn't too noticable different at the root, but as it grows out, it gets too noticable. Beautiful! The ends of my hair were still bleached but the majority is virgin dark blonde hair. This is the closest to a true rose I’ve gotten, most are too brassy and impermanent. Great for the price too! It covered all of my hair with some left, so if your hair is longer than mine definitely buy more than one. ... show more

first off i loveee this hair dye. it has been my go to for like 3 or 4 years now, (the purple amythest). it stays for a good amount of time and is the perfect purple metallic color. the only reason im not giving it 5 stars is because they decided to rebrand the box and make the model AI. 🫠 i couldn’t find it for months and thought they discontinued the color, but looked it up and realized the box just looks different. usually i’m all for a visual rebranding, but taking away a human model just to replace it with AI (which looks worse btw) really disappoints me. they probably did it to be more cost efficient but it makes me sad to see the old baddie model go. 💔 ... show more

So far I like the results of this brand. My before hair color had been dyed with a rose gold color and then a plum color added on top of it (pre bleach treated). I wanted a change and wanted to try purple and settle on the got2b amethyst chrome. It’s a very vibrant purple which I was looking for. I do wash my hair daily and the color is fading but it’s a nice fade. Pictures add different lighting but in person you can still see the purple shade mostly at my roots. If I touch up I will likely purchase this same brand again. Overall I am happy with the way this turned out despite it not being fully permanent compared to getting my hair colored professionally at a salon. Color went on well and was easy to clean off my skin with face wipes. The results were pretty and multi-tonal with shades of fuchsia in the lowlights. Though this is a permanent dye, it seems to be fading faster than other brands I’ve used in the past.
