I ordered this "Schumacher Electric Farm and Ranch Battery Charger and Engine Starter, FR01336, 4-in-1, Fully Automatic, 200 Cranking Amps, 50 Amp Boost Mode, 6 Volt, 12 Volt, for Car, Truck, Marine, Farm Equipment" in 2024 for a special use with a battery that would sometime lose all of its charge. When I received the charger and took it out of the well packed & undamaged shipping box, I noticed that the manufacture's box was scuffed up, but regretfully I did not bother to check the charger. In 2025, when I got around to needing it, I took it out of the box for the first time & it would not turn on. I then took off the cover only to find that it was busted up inside like it had been dropped hard. It was too late to return it and I doubt the supplier would take my word that it was busted out of the box. I am going to buy another one, this time directly from the manufacturer. ... show more

I’ve been using this the charge truck batteries in vehicles. It will charge a bank of 4 batter from dead to running within 20 minutes. It’s simple and hard to not figure it out. The cables are solid. After much online researching of product features and customer reviews on battery charages, I settled on this Schumacher FR01335 for my small farm. I love that it does it all... engine starter, booster, desulfator, and maintainer which auto detects 6v or 12v batteries. I love the heavy duty metal clamps which are much more rugged and reliable than the flimsy plastic clamps or miniature metal clamps on so many chargers. If I was to be picky, it could use a little longer power cord, a bracket on each side to wrap the power cord and cables for storage or transport, and larger lights and writing on the front panel. However, none of those conveniences affect the overall effectiveness of the charger. It works as advertised and I've used it in all modes on a variety of batteries with excellent results. I have been using it on numerous vehicles. Sons corvette, my camper that has a large battery bank and my diesel pickup. Works great and has many options. I found it very helpful to read the manual. People complain about the cheap plastic handle. It seems fine to me and that being said. Its plastic so it doesnt conduct electricity. I have used it to hold the clamps in the past and I works well and because its plastic....No arcing! I recommend it. ... show more
