Started with one HaptIQ utility pan, then bought this large fry pan for use on new Bosch Induction cooktop. Tried several different brands over a 3 month period and kept coming back to the Scanpan. They work great and we love everything about them except that they are a bit heavy. Can't bead the cooking quality. Far better than any other non-stick I've tried. Like the textured / kinda rough surface. Sears stuff great. Heats fast. Even cooking all the time. And all kinds of eggs are a breeze. Nothing sticks to this surface. Cleans up very, very easily. Looks great. Now own a full set of HaptIQ pots and pans. Only thing I'd do is add a small handle on the opposite side of the main, long handle for the larger pots / pans. If the pan is full of something like fajitas, it's just too heavy to handle easily with one hand / arm unless you're the HULK. ... show more

This pan is almost perfect to me. Very high quality. It heats evenly, is super easy to clean, nothing sticks, the surface is extremely durable and metal-utensil friendly, it’s large enough To cook for a family of four adults. My one wish is that it had a helper handle opposite the main handle because when it’s loaded with food it is quite heavy. Overall I love this pan and have used it almost daily since it arrived.     • The best nonstick in the world IMO
If I could afford it, all my pots and pans would be Scanpan (except for my beloved cast iron!). I have the medium size and this large skillet, plus the square griddle. All are insanely solid and the nonstick is hands down the best made I’ve ever encountered. Near perfectly even heat distribution on a gas range top, and if you have induction, this and other Scanpan products are built for it. These pans are a fair amount heavier than chain store mass market nonstick (though the comparison is almost absurd!) but not nearly as heavy enameled cast iron ware. The haptic top of the line does have the most ergonomic handles, for me anyway. ... show more

Needed new pans for my new induction range. I was having trouble finding a nonstick skillet with a large cooking area and very even heating. So, I decided to splurge on this one, and I am glad I did. Heavy gauge and flat bottomed for very even heating, super slippery nonstick coating, and a sturdy handle. I have never made such a perfectly golden group of grilled cheese sandwiches! It does take a nonstandard lid size, but options are out there. I went with the Scanpan version - this pan deserves it! ... show more

    • Scanpans are really impressive
Seriously, Scanpans are worth every cent. They're hilariously slippery and super easy to clean. The only downside, specific to the 12.5" pan, is that it's pretty heavy and it's not easy to flip your food with a flick of the wrist. If you're buying a stainless steel pan though, you probably already know that. ... show more
