I hesitated to buy this for a long time because of the price but realized I was buying cheaper pans that wouldn't distribute the heat well, would get scratched or were burning my food too easily. This pan is almost perfect to me. Very high quality. It heats evenly, is super easy to clean, nothing sticks, the surface is extremely durable and metal-utensil friendly, it’s large enough To cook for a family of four adults. My one wish is that it had a helper handle opposite the main handle because when it’s loaded with food it is quite heavy. Overall I love this pan and have used it almost daily since it arrived. I absolutely love this pan. It is incredibly well made, durable, and super easy to clean. I can literally cook steaks, burgers and eggs with absolutely no butter or oil, and the food comes right off the pan. It conducts heat very well. It's worth the price.

    • Great cooking tool.
Started with one HaptIQ utility pan, then bought this large fry pan for use on new Bosch Induction cooktop. Tried several different brands over a 3 month period and kept coming back to the Scanpan. They work great and we love everything about them except that they are a bit heavy. Can't bead the cooking quality. Far better than any other non-stick I've tried. Like the textured / kinda rough surface. Sears stuff great. Heats fast. Even cooking all the time. And all kinds of eggs are a breeze. Nothing sticks to this surface. Cleans up very, very easily. Looks great. Now own a full set of HaptIQ pots and pans. Only thing I'd do is add a small handle on the opposite side of the main, long handle for the larger pots / pans. If the pan is full of something like fajitas, it's just too heavy to handle easily with one hand / arm unless you're the HULK. ... show more

    • I wanted to love this pan
I babied this pan. I never put it in the dish washer. I always used the soft side of the sponge to clean it. I never used metal utensils on it. I always used either wooden or silicone ones. But low and behold the non stick surface is chipping away into my food and I dont know why. I took extra great care of it like you are supposed to when you spend this kind of money on a pan. It did last 4 months until I saw the coating chipping away. When I dry the pan with paper towels I can see small brown and black bits of the coating on the towels. Extremely annoying since I am was putting forever chemicals in my body on a regular basis most likely. Ill never buy scanpan ever again, nor any other nonstick ever again. I am just going to get a quality stainless steel or learn how to season a carbon steel pan. ... show more
