This an excellent product that requires patience, but in the end, it does an amazing job filling and sealing concrete cracks, even cracks as wide as 3 inches. It may take more than one coat to fill and bring the crack level with the surface due to shrinkage, in the end, its well worth it. After failure, upon failure with other crack filling products that had to be removed time after time, I'm near confident that this product will last a long time based on a recent earthquake that left new cracks in a couple of areas, but cracks sealed and filled with this product were totally undisturbed. I've used this now for years on my driveway cracks and it works better than other options I've tried. It only lasts maybe three years though before it needs to be touched up. If you don't patch the cracks, it crumbles.

I first used this stuff 2 years ago on some decent sized gaps and cracks and it's held up great, even on our slowly shifting concrete front walk. So far it hasn't split or lost adhesion, which is pretty impressive for Wisconsin winters. I had previously used Dalton Enterprises PLI-STIX and it all cracked as soon as it got cold. Not good. After 2 years it has darkened somewhat but remains pliable and stuck to all surfaces the way it was meant to. I just bought another 12. It is now my go-to for crack repair on our aging concrete.     • Shrinks unacceptably, slow setting, extremely expensive

Extremely expensive because of approximately 20% shrinkage which requires a second fill of all cracks where no depression is allowed, like shop floors where grease, oil, small parts, dust and sawdust can accumulate in the depressed seams and cannot be cleaned out without manual scrubbing. The added cost of masking tape and your time as well as the pressure washing of the first layer to allow adhesion of the second layer doesn't end the frustration because even the second layer will shrink. Foot traffic must be avoided for 2 days and vehicle traffic for 10 days or there will be patterns in the seam, seeming like a long setting time to me. Be sure to fill seams and cracks with foam tubing as much as possible to reduce the exhorbitant cost of the sealant. The final weather-induced color is dark gray so don't be put off at first when the seam seems much lighter than the concrete - it will darken. Once hardened, nothing seems to stick to it if the seam is finally near level with the surface of the pad/walk/slab. No vegetation has penetrated the sealant after 9 months. Regardless of the temperature, a misting of water is mandatory to get a smooth surface and prevent masking from pulling the sealant up when it is removed, and much heavier misting in direct sun and hot days. ... show more

You will need to unscrew the nozzle and thoroughly punch out the seal on the tube. It's latex so it's very easy to work with. Nothing smooths it better than your finger and a spray bottle of water. Apply when there won't be any rain for at least two days. Has a good light gray color. Like all stretchy latex caulks, it shrinks some, so apply a little more than you think you'll need. Easy to add another layer in a few days if you need to. I had a few tubes that were years old on a shelf in the garage and they still worked perfectly. ... show more

First, the downside to this product is it has at least a 24 hour cure for rain. So make sure no rain is in the forecast... if you can believe the forecast. It can be hard to make it look like what you want...good finished job. Tape areas you don't want it on, can be difficult to get off. The best part of this product is it expands and contracts with the weather. Our city department uses this and I thought I would give it a try. It looks good with concrete, not a perfect match. No one can have one product that matches old concrete. But it is a good product. I have used 9 plus tubes and it can be painted over. Use backer rod for large or deep cracks. Smooth application with water and sponge paint brush, don't get crazy with the water. You can use your finger and water for smaller applications. I hope this helps.
