Features

  • ENVIRONMENTAL RESISTANCE: IP67 design technology allows this to be completely dustproof and waterproof (rated to be submerged up to 1m for 30min).
  • HIGHER AIRFLOW/LOWER NOISE: Updated blade and motor designs allow this to put out 77 cubic feet per minute with a noise level of 32db. That's equivalent to the ambient noise of a library. Padded corners help dampen any vibration noise when mounting.
  • LONG LASTING: Dual ball bearings give a long projected lifespan of up to 67,000 hrs--that's over 7 years.
  • 3 PIN FAN CONNECTOR: The solar panel has a standard 3-pin fan female connector and a native 12v regulator on it to reuse solar panel to swap for other fans.

Description

This will work as a great option for a solar powered fan for a greenhouse, shed, doghouse, or chicken coop. This will blow 77 cubic feet per minute and is as quiet as a library (~30 decibels). The panel is IP55 (outdoor environment) rated and the fan is IP67 (submersible in water), but the connectors are not. Please protect connectors with tape or other sealant if exposed to elements. Manufacturer rated the panel to 5 watts power, but internal testing (in Washington state) maxed at 2 watts in direct sunlight (0.4A). Must have *sunlight for power as there is no battery for energy storage while panel is shaded. Includes thermal plastic mounting faceplate, hardware, and grills. *Requires direct facing sun to operate The panel is IP55 (outdoor environment) rated and the fan is IP67 (submersible in water), but the connectors are not. Please protect connectors with tape or other sealant if exposed to elements. Manufacturer rated the panel to 3 watts power (0.25A). Must have sunlight for power as there is no battery for energy storage while panel is shaded. • Keeping my chicken coop cool
It works as I expected. Mounted it as high as I could on the wall face it so it works like an exhaust fan. I don't know how much cooler it is in the coop but it has to be helping. Works only when the Sun is shining but thats when it is hottest.

    • Not worth the money
Review Image by Patrick Biegalski
It does not say the size of the fan in the description but says it can be used for green houses so I figured it would be at least a 10-12 inch fan. It was only a 5 inch fan, that is the size of a computer fan on a home computer. Very small as you can tell by the picture of my hand in comparison to the fan. Does not circulate air very effectively. Very disappointing. ... show more

    • Check your dimensions
I didn’t check the dimensions and was very disappointed when the back age came in. The package alone was so small, it really threw me. It’s very small. VERY. Small. I’ve got the solar panel pointing to my window to try to charge it and it’s not moving the fan at all. I don’t have a lot of hope for this thirty dollar item. MAYBE $10-15 but certainly not $30. ... show more

    • Small solar fan
I bought and used this fan for my chicken coop to allow more air flow and to help keep the coop cool during summer. Installation was easy and fan does circulate the air. My fan has a high pitch whining noise and does not hold charge through night. Fan could be a bit cheaper for the size and noise it makes. Seems to be more annoying sound for me than the chickens. The fan was working for about a day and a half before it completely stopped working. You can still hear the whine but no movement from the fan. Will be returning. ... show more

I purchased 2 of these fans to help keep my 6’x5’ ft plastic shed cooler in the Texas heat. They are basically small PC fans that are powered by sunlight. The fans are relatively quiet, but if there isn’t enough sunlight to power them they do beep. The beep may get tiring if you are exposed long time to it, but for my shed it’s not a problem. Considering they are 30 bucks each I think they work great. These are intended for basic airflow so don’t expect the output to be of a box fan. They work exceptionally if you have the right expectations. I’ve only had them installed a few weeks so cannot speak on durability yet. ... show more

    • One fan doesn’t make much air movement.
This is really a great product. Put the solar panels in the sun and the fan spins. I bought a larger solar pack of two that made my little fan spin much faster. There was a litter of kittens in an outside cage and it provided them with air flow in The hot summer we had. The larger panels come with a built in on and off switch. That was great! Next summer it goes in my pool supply room. Oh! They also have Awesome customers service! 5 Stars for sure. ... show more
