  • HIGHER AIRFLOW/LOWER NOISE: Updated blade and motor designs allow this to put out 77 cubic feet per minute with a noise level of 32db. That's equivalent to the ambient noise of a library. Padded corners help dampen any vibration noise when mounting.
  • LONG LASTING: Dual ball bearings give a long projected lifespan of up to 67,000 hrs--that's over 7 years.
  • 3 PIN FAN CONNECTOR: The solar panel has a standard 3-pin fan female connector and a native 12v regulator on it to reuse solar panel to swap for other fans.

Description

This will work as a great option for a solar powered fan for a greenhouse, shed, doghouse, or chicken coop. This will blow 77 cubic feet per minute and is as quiet as a library (~30 decibels). The panel is IP55 (outdoor environment) rated and the fan is IP67 (submersible in water), but the connectors are not. Please protect connectors with tape or other sealant if exposed to elements. Manufacturer rated the panel to 5 watts power, but internal testing (in Washington state) maxed at 2 watts in direct sunlight (0.4A). Must have *sunlight for power as there is no battery for energy storage while panel is shaded. Includes thermal plastic mounting faceplate, hardware, and grills. *Requires direct facing sun to operate The panel is IP55 (outdoor environment) rated and the fan is IP67 (submersible in water), but the connectors are not.     • Keeping my chicken coop cool
It works as I expected. Mounted it as high as I could on the wall face it so it works like an exhaust fan. I don't know how much cooler it is in the coop but it has to be helping. Works only when the Sun is shining but thats when it is hottest.

This fan is tiny! And it only runs full blast when the sune is shining DIRECTLY and brightly onnthe solar panel. Anything less and it either barely runs, or just doesn't. It doesn't save up any energy either, so by evening, it just doesn't run anymore, which is really inconvenient for hot days. But, since it's too small to do anything anyway, it doesn't make much of a difference. This was literally just a waste of money, unfortunately. ... show more

I wanted to love this product but just cant. We live in Arizona - full of sunshine. When the ad says "needs direct sunlight" it doesn't say that if there is dust in the air or a little cloud over part of the sun, it wont work either. I'm surprised at how hard it is to get it to work even when I'm dripping sweat because the sun is so bright. In addition, when it does work, the fan just isn't strong. You almost wouldn't know its blowing unless you put your hand up to it. ... show more

    • Probably not worth the money.
They are very small and not powerful at all. If the sun is not shining directly full force on the panel, they will not run. Any hint of shade or cloud and all you get is a weird whine but no movement of blades.

I purchased 2 of these fans to help keep my 6’x5’ ft plastic shed cooler in the Texas heat. They are basically small PC fans that are powered by sunlight. The fans are relatively quiet, but if there isn’t enough sunlight to power them they do beep. The beep may get tiring if you are exposed long time to it, but for my shed it’s not a problem. Considering they are 30 bucks each I think they work great. These are intended for basic airflow so don’t expect the output to be of a box fan. They work exceptionally if you have the right expectations. I’ve only had them installed a few weeks so cannot speak on durability yet. ... show more
