Worked fine for the first month. I used it as a storage device in my Roku TV to enable the Live TV Pause feature. After 42 days Live TV Pause quit working, I pulled the drive out and tried to reformat it in my computer, but is says "Disk is write protected". The disk was very hot when I removed it from the TV. I'm just outside the Amazon return window, so I guess I'm screwed... Or maybe SanDisk is screwed, because I'll never buy another of their products and I'll be sure my friends family and anyone who'll listen knows what garbage they make. I saw others with similar concerns in the reviews, but thought it those might have just been fluke failures. I guess not. Don't buy and stay away from SanDisk! ... show more

Using this flash drive as "manual backup" to important files on desktop iMac. Though I have a shadow hard drive that does automatic backups, I find that this has intermittent failures. This vulnerability plus recent scare of seeing all my desktop folders (and their files) "disappear", motivated me to have a "backup to my backup". This flash drive has plenty of capacity, transfers data quickly, is easy to use...and reliable! ... show more

The memory stick is plastic and not as well constructed as Kingston (that just appears to be heavier and solid). There was also no cord to keep this attached to anything. Those are the complaints. The memory stick has awesome speed performance when using it with a Dell Lattitude USB 3.0 connection. I have tested ISO files in excess of GB's and also small PDF files. For me I love the user interface provided by SanDisk that uses their software to protect the files and names. When you unlock the drive and just look at the files they show up at file01, file02, etc. Try to open then with text editor and they come across jumbled. This is the layer of security I was looking for in the event this flash drive is lost. To see the actual files, just open the software provided; unlock it with credentials and viola... ... show more

I bought this product for my Xbox one so I could record more then 10 minutes (yes it does work), but I requested a refund because I found one for cheaper.
