I purchased this external SSD to create an external bootable drive for my MacBook Pro M1. I had downloaded the new operating system Sequoia and it corrupted my system. I re-installed the O.S. twice but the problem continued. Since Apple won’t let you downgrade I purchased this SSD, made a bootable drive using the new O.S. and migrated my files to the new SSD except the OS. I then wiped my internal SSD and migrated the system from my external drive to the reformatted internal SSD. It took a long time to migrate over 3 TB’s of data but all works well now. I will keep this external SSD handy in case of internal corruption again. This is the first time I have ever experienced corruption from an upgrade from Apple. Microsoft had a built in roll back for Windows, one could use the rollback feature if something got corrupted from an upgrade. I never thought I’d be giving Microsoft credit for something over Apple. No matter what your use for this external SSD, you will like the speed. It’s almost as fast as my apple SSD; it would be just as fast if it wasn’t for the interface. ... show more
