  • Fast
Capacity: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Flash Drive Pattern Name: USB 3.2
This is the fastest thumb drive I have ever owned. It works as fast as stated. I like how the drive plug stays retracted unless you deliberately move it into the open position. And it locks in the open position sufficiently well that it does not push back into the case when inserting into a USB socket. I also like how the plug retracts by snapping back into the retracted position. I have deducted 1 star because it can have sharp edges. Mine has one tiny area that is too sharp, but I imagine others might have a worse problem. The housing is made from an aluminum extrusion, and if not properly de-burred after it is cut to length at an angle, it will have sharp edges. It seems that they are not always sufficiently de-burred. I was able to remove the sharp spot on mine, but that removes the anodizing of course. It was a small enough spot that I could touch it up with a black felt pen. ... show more

  • Impressive Write Speed!
Capacity: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Flash Drive Pattern Name: USB 3.2
Update: After 1 week of use, the only con I can think of is that it does get warm when left plugged in. This occurs regardless of whether or not I'm actively using the drive. It doesn't get "hot", but definitely warmer than any other flash drive I've owned. This may be what has caused some of the failures that other reviewers have mentioned (and some even have mods for). I just won't leave mine plugged in when I'm done using it. Original post: I have one of the older SanDisk Extremes that I've been very pleased with. I typically have to transfer large (1-3 GB) files and the older SanDisk Extreme easily maintained >100MB/s write speeds throughout. It is still going strong but I wanted to have an extra in case it ever fails. I tried a couple other cheaper brands that promised even better write speeds but none came close to the SanDisk. Even the new version of the SanDisk Extreme doesn't keep up with the older one so I paid a few extra bucks for the Extreme Pro and WOW! This thing is way faster. I just transferred 5 files at once, totaling over 10GB, and it never dropped below 300MB/s writing to the flash drive! If this one lasts as long as my original SanDisk Extreme it will be worth every penny. ... show more

  • The SanDisk worked like a charm.
Capacity: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Flash Drive Pattern Name: USB 3.1
I expected the need for an app that would make SanDisk compatible with my MacBook Pro. The SanDisk worked immediately without any additional apps. It was easy. I didn't rate tech support because I had no need for it.

  • The highest speed 128GB flash drive that I have tested on Windows 10 and Raspberry Pi 4
Capacity: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Flash Drive Pattern Name: USB 3.2
Drive: SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO USB 3.1 Solid State Flash Drive - SDCZ880-128G-G46 I love this drive when it comes to fast performance (405MB/s reads and 334MB/s writes in AS-SSD These have become my go-to 128GB drives for Windows 10 and Raspberry Pi 4. While they are slightly longer than competitors, their performance is great. I have not seen better for USB flash drives (NVMe SSDs on USB 3 Gen2 are of course faster). This device is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 device, but I have tested this device directly in a USB 3 Gen 1 (5gbps) and Gen 2 (10gbps) ports - nearly the same performance. Also tested on the well-known ST ext-powered Gen 2 hub, with a 3ft Gen 2 cable - slightly slower perf through the hub. See both Gen 1 and Gen 2 tests attached for AS-SSD and CrystalDiskMark. Pros: Performance, Performance, Performance Cons: Slightly longer than other 128GB flash drives but perhaps there is more/better flash controller inside leading to the high-end performance. If you know of other flash drives that perform better, please let me know. These work great on Raspberry Pi 4 devices (I have many). Some other brands (FIT: very small physical size) work great in Windows but very poorly on the Raspberry Pi 4. ... show more

  • Works great! Not getting advertised speeds though
Capacity: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Flash Drive Pattern Name: USB 3.2
This is fast enough for the capacity, I was getting 150Mb/s or so max write. That's relatively fast, but it would have been nice to see something closer to advertised speeds.

  • It works well but...
Capacity: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Flash Drive Pattern Name: USB 3.1
Ok so I bought this to be a bit faster than my existing Patriot Supersonic 64GB (B00AIK1S08). WR ~50MB/s / R 172MB/s So, the specs from the advertising and some of the reviews put this SDCZ880-256G-G46 WR-380MB/s / R-420BM/s or somewhere in the neighborhood with the correct setup. I have USB 3.x ports on each side of my laptop one side being direct MOBO and the other a Dughter connection. They both performed at the same pace for copies. WR ~285MB/s / R ~360MB/s It arrived formatted in exFAT which is fine and all but, for my use I redid it with a FAT32 / NTFS split for imaging devices and it's pretty snappy when installing windows 10 from it. The copying files portion clipped along at 1%-3% increments per second to an NVME drive in the laptop. 25% reduced throughput isn't too bad when it comes to the marketing promises with real world transfers instead of the Crystal Disk synthetic images that typically get posted on these sorts of reviews. Would I buy it again? Yes! Out of all of the devices on the market this hits a sweet spot between capacity / speed / cost that really can't be matched. My other candidates were the Corsair GTX SSD stick (A6Q2JPBV4ZU1) PNY Elite (A6Q2JPBV4ZU1) Arcanite (A6Q2JPBV4ZU1) They all had their pro'con for each. BTW I'm running a I7-9750H / 16GB / NVME system that internally pushes 1.5GB/s between drives. (NVME is rated at 3400x3100) << will never see that in real life... in CD yes... real transfers? no ... show more
