  • 3rd Time is a Charm
I normally don't do this but thought maybe it might help someone. I have been shopping these for some time now and notice that on the reviews people seem to either love or hate them, hate them if they have a leak or defect or love or are at least pleasantly surprised that they work better than expected. I wanted the portability of it, we live way past nowhere, not even close to somewhere, so having someone to move it just not an option and we travel so I wanted to be able to put it up. The first one arrived, and the box looked completely ragged (a different brand) I couldn't tell if it had been damaged or not so I was weighing what to do so I opened the top to see if I could tell and I found return paperwork from the previous person saying that it wasn't the correct hot tub! So I sent it back, we ordered another inflatable one, the boxing was beat up also but it appeared ok and it went together nicely, took about 40 hours to heat up, it was a 6 person and it really was a nice size, you would have to be good friends to get 6 in it but you could. It worked well but immediately began deflating I wrestled with it for a few days and had to air it up daily. Being from the sticks I consider myself fairly handy and have patched many an innertube when I finally found the leak, I was like a monkey on a football trying to stop it! It came with patches but no glue, I finally drained it and got it out on my lawn so I could work on it and after numerous attempts finally got it stopped (maybe) got it all back together and warmed up only two have it deflate again a few days later. On one hand i figured I needed to know how to deal with it if I was going to have it but I couldn't find the second leak, so I sent it back. Which leads us to this one, it was an ordeal getting it, we finally had to call Amazon and complain because it wasn't being shipped but the company uses an independent shipper, so my guess is they were working on logistics. I am sure to try and prevent the whole shipping trauma thing. It showed up pretty much pristine, it went together easily although the zipper around the outside was tight! you really want to work it, so you don't mess up the zipper or rip the material. We were putting it together in 40 degree weather which made it stiff also. The say 6 hours to heat up in the description but in the docs at our temp it said about 20 and it took every bit of that. Overall, I have been pleased with it, its smaller you can get 3 adults in it fairly easily, but you want the water level at the minimum or lower or when you turn on the aeration it's going to go all over the ground. Four or more and you better be good friends! I am 6 foot and with my head against one side and to my neck my feet rest comfortably on the other side. My probably complaint is that when you have the aeration running which is quite aggressive (I thought it had two speeds but doesn't) the bubbles are cool I am sure because it uses the outside air and I don't think it has a way to heat it, if it did that would be the cats meow. But my wife likes the cool says it's refreshing but it annoys me. It will drop from 104 to about 99 or 98 in about 30 minutes, I am sure because of the cool air being added, if you leave the aeration off it will almost maintain. Now to add context I am going out to sit in it in the morning to watch the sun rise and its normally about 9 degrees and it has been warming up to 40 in the day (Eastern AZ) its cooler than it recommends but that's what we got it for and it works well, it takes about an hour to get back to 104 from 97 or 98. I don't know what its going to cost to run yet. I am struggling keeping it clean with our water I haven't figured the chemicals yet and it looks like its going to go through a filter a week at least. I don' know how long it will last I am sure it will depend on if you can keep it out of the weather as much as possible. It would really be nice if you could just buy a replacement liner every year or two and if you could add a heater to the aeration process. I like the portability. We figured if we used it enough, we would buy a regular hot tub, but we will see. I really don't want to spend that much at once and then have a big booger in my yard to maintain or just sit there if we don't use it. One more thing the other two had covers that went clear to the ground and it was tough to get them off in the cold, my wife couldn't hardly do it. This one just drops over the edge a bit and is much easier although the buckles are clearly meant to be child proof and "Seniors" they are tough to unbuckle but you get a method figured out. I have weighed replacing them but not yet. ... show more

  • Truly middle of the road between inflatable and expensive hard plastic tubs, well worth the money
It’s 04/21/2025 and I’ve had this for four months now and the water is still perfectly clear with minimal additives. That’s two adults regularly using it. We have to add one small 1” chlorine (NOT BROMINE, you can’t use that with this system) tablet every four days and change the filter every two weeks and with the help of a few cheap disposable scum absorbers from Temu every four days the water stays perfectly clear and there’s no slimy build up. Only had to shock the water a few times. We’re in Arkansas with plenty of mature trees around and we’re in the worst part of spring for pollen and I still haven’t noticed any changes to the clarity. I do however keep an additional padded cloth cover that goes all the way to the deck over the included hot tub cover at all times when not in use so that may help. As an aside the included cover has an inflatable to insulate the top. Keep in mind when you pull that off it will deflate some every time but will re-inflate once back in the hot tub. We’ve been using this the entire time we’ve had it, even on the days when the temperature got down into the 40’s (so worth enduring the cold getting out) and for the most part within an hours time didn’t lose more than four degrees of heat. That is without using the bubbles. Even when it’s not cold out you will lose a few degrees of heat when using the bubbles. We rarely use the bubbles mainly so we can converse easier or hear the TV when watching a show. I do love the bubbles, and the center ring for your feet is really nice. And yes the bubbles are fairly strong. So much so the bubbles popping could get annoying but I usually just lay my head back on the side or turn and look out away from the hot tub. I might add the padding on the bottom surprised me. We put down garage floor piece-together tile padding because I thought the built in padding would be thin and we would feel the decking underneath. Think it probably would have been okay without the extra padding but it certainly didn’t hurt. As far as being able to sit on the sidewall, I wouldn’t recommend it. The foam is very sturdy but not worth chancing it breaking because I’m sure finding or carving out a replacement would be difficult. That being said, the way the entire thing was packaged up and crate shipped kept the foam walling well protected. Expect it to come through a freighting company (I did not). I had to set up a delivery date and time with XPS Logistics, I knew nothing about them before getting the hot tub. Putting the hot tub together is truly as easy as the video shows. Very simple but it does require two people in order for it to go smoothly. I would also mention that the ultrafit Airjet V02 version is on the small size. It says you can comfortably fit four but I would say you better be comfortable with who you are sitting next to. What they don’t mention is that you can’t sit where the pump and filter are. The only downside I can think of is I haven’t found a suitable cup holder but the foam is thicker where pump is so generally I set my drink there. In all honesty I don’t expect this to last more than a handful of years. After all every hot tub eventually has issues but so far it has been well worth the money and I would say it’s far superior to any inflatable hot tub. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine. ... show more
