I purchased the Xtool IP900s scanner in January 2026. The scanner has performed well and assisted with diagnostics on many vehicles. The unit is well built and sturdy, it has exceptional battery life. It has a bright 8" display which is especially nice when looking at live data. It has many of the same functions and features of the high end scanners found in shops. I especially like the special functions built in that allow you to cycle solenoids and perform advanced functions such as load balance test of injectors. So far this unit has performed well for me and saved me $$ doing self repairs for my family and friends. The unit has a 3 year included subscription for updates and Xtool seems to have a very active update cycle, I usually have a few updates every time I turn on the tool. I purchased my unit through Amazon, I did have a battery issue with the machine. I called Xtool support and they transferred me to their Amazon support desk. Xtool serviced my unit and got it back to me in very short time. I have to say their support for the product was exceptional.     • XTOOL IP900S Take aways: just pull the trigger, buy it and start getting things done!
As an electrician for over 25 years I can appreciate the use of diagnostic tools. When they are used correctly you can’t put a price on the time and money saved. Previously, I had the XTOOL D8 and it served me well over the years. Wanting something newer with additional features I settled on the XTOOL IP900S. The UI was intuitive, I had the ability to test multiple platforms (including some that were not supported on my D8) within my vehicle as well as the vehicles of my friends and family. Choosing to be transparent, I’m not a mechanic, just a curious DIY’r that’s somewhat handy, has some free time on my hands and enjoys saving money. All in all, the XTOOL IP900S is a quality product, offers a great value for the money, has the ability to monitor an extensive array of your autos systems, includes 3 years of system updates and the ability to diagnose multiple vehicles brands is the icing on the cake. I waited a while to put in a review as I have purchased many of these scanners including one other xtool scanner and unfortunetly had returned them all as they did not do much more then a $35 walmart junk obd scanner. Unlike those scanners this one has done everything i need it has paid for its self several times over with just some of the special functions such as the ability to program keys. Not to mention. It comes with many other features that most tools do not have such as a trouble shoot button for each code to help you track down the exact cause of problems. ... show more

Has some key copying functionality,but did realize I needed another component to get more functionality out of key duplication processes on more vehicles! Does what it is supposed to that was my only meh statement towards this particular device

Quality tool. User friendly interface. Great customer support. I had an issue with the battery not being able to charge, after a year , still within the warrenty period. A couple of reasonable emails back and forth with Matt from tech support and it was the determined that the unit had to be replaced with a new unit. Free of charge. It is an awesome tool I've been able to get in and adjust stuff that I needed to as far as lights beepers stuff like that gives me a very well-defined error and what's nice if you're hooked up to the Internet with it you can look up the error code very happy with this product I would recommend just be careful that you don't get into something that you don't know like I did LOL ... show more

Excellent scanner for the price. Easy to use. Live data is very useful and it's spot on with diagnosing problems. I will mention that the included charger gets too hot to the touch so I won't use it. Instead, I use one of my own chargers.
