We have a large deep fryer that we use in garage for our fish fries, but sometimes you just want something smaller. This is perfect! for shrimp tempuri (or any other tempuri you'd like - onions, veggies, etc). This fryer has an area on top with a rack. It's so nice to be able to put the fried items there and let the grease drain off of them before plating them. I empty the oil into a container that I purchased and just wipe the browned "crumbs" out with a paper towel. Then, it goes on a shelf until the next time we are ready to use it. I highly suggest this. I've had other small fryers in the past and really like this one the best.

I love this thing. I make a lot of eggrolls. This thing is great to help me drain a little oil before cooling it. Loved that the oil to spash while you slowly try to drop food in. Love that there is a place to hold thermo so you know how the heat level is at all time. Great value for you money. I would recommend this for all the people who to fried food using oil.

Perfect for frying ! Truly recommend! Lid makes it easy for teenage kids to use , oil don’t pop you just close the lid while frying . My kids use it almost daily to make French fries

I haven't got a chance to use it yet. But while I was unboxing this deep fryer pot, it sliced my left index finger. Since this was the first time have ever cut any of my fingers on a pot before. It took me a few moments to realize where the blood was coming from. It is a nice shallow clean cut too, one that stops bleeding after a little first aid. watch your fingers and those sharp edges on this pan. Other than the pan drawing first blood, it seems to be constructed in accordance with its price. Not overly cheap and not a wonder of state-of-the-art engineering. The thermometer just sits in a hole in the lid, very loosely I might add, a metal collar keeps the top part from resting on the lid. It looks like it will get the job done, but I wouldn't count on it staying put if you start bumping with whatever you're frying at the time.

Am sorry Amazon may ban me after writing this review but I don’t care. They are getting out of control with the cheap and miss information of product quality on their sites. This is the cheapest made cook wear I have ever gotten. The pan pot or what ever you wish to call it. They already got mad at me for write the truth about another product in the pass. They really need to go back to quality control. If the sell report me or Amazon ban me I don’t care. I am very disappointed.
