have like a 20 year-old Clearwater salt cell for my pool and remanufactured salt cells were totaling over $500. I picked this up as hopefully a bridge until I could figure out a more permanent solution but to be honest after using it for two weeks, this is definitely gonna be the permanent solution. I saw a couple of dumb reviews on here about customer service, I checked the manual and everything is in there it explains explicitly how the thing operates. If you can't read a freaking manual then you really don't belong messing around with this stuff. Anyway I purchased the unit that was designed for a 24,000 gallon pool and it packs a real punch. I'm actually running the chlorinator at 50% because anything higher than that is just flooding my pool with chlorine. My pool is about 23,000 gallons. The app gives me the temperature of the water and the saline ppm which is great to have. Another nice thing was when I was running the pool I got an alert of low or no flow on the app, I checked and the filter for the pool vacuum had become clogged so that's another great feature if you're like me and you run your pool pump 24 hours a day. Will it last? Well we will see but again I've been running it for two weeks and it seems to be putting out a ton of chlorine, the app works great and is is informative, and the cost associated with replacing my old salt cell compared to this was not even a competition, it's a great value for the money. One thing I would suggest everybody does is set up a bypass for a chlorinator this way when it comes time to have to clean it or soak it you can continue to run your pool if you need to. I included some pictures of my old chlorinator hearing you can see it's just a straight through set up which meant every time I needed to clean the chlorinator which sometimes took a day or two in order to soak all of the deposits off, my pool was out of commission. At the new photo you'll see I added two valves to bypass the water through the bottom pipe and allow me to service the salt cell.

I would like to give this product a better rating, but I can't reach the manufacturer to ask a simple question: Does the chlorine generation stop if the water flow stops, even if the device is "on"? The manual is not clear about this safety issue and the AI answer bot cannot tell me for sure. There is no contact info in the manual or product page. Because I bought this last year before I installed it, I can't seem to access any help. Very frustrating and poor customer service by the seller and Amazon. I've posted the question to see if anyone out there can answer it...

Simple and basic installation. WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity was flawless. Just installed on 8/23/25 but everything seems to be functioning properly. The App is ok, you can see salinity level, operating level percentage, flow, water temp and can turn the device on and off. You can also set it up to alert you if an issue occurs.

Works great, but the build up will quickly shut the chlorinator off. I have to clean it out after several 10 hr filter runs. Have some chlorinator cleaning solution on hand, but be ware, it’s not cheap.

So far pretty darn good. Was easy to install and the phone app works well to see what the pool temp is and the salinity of the water. My water is crystal clear! Best part, it was a fourth of the cost of my Pentair Intellichlor that only lasted 3 years.

Easy to use and works well. I replaced an older chlorinator system that was a lot more expensive and I like this Fengind chlorinator much better. Very good value for the money. Nice to have the APP on my phone for monitoring and control.
