I see a lot of advice from what I call "Pool Chefs". They have all these methods and all these different ingredients for what works in THEIR pool. Good for them. But that doesn't help your cloudiness, turning green in 3 days, or the fact that you find yourself constantly chasing water quality numbers and don't know why. I recommend that you take any advice you receive about YOUR pool with a grain of salt. Not everyone lives in the same part of the country, has the same issues you're having, or even has the same known and current maintenance history.... How can they POSSIBLY give you specific, exact advice about your pool? I'll admit, it's hard to find the exact precise advice you need for YOUR pool. Even the professionals at the big name pool store down the street from you who do free water testing (an immense benefit) have an agenda and are paid on commission. I recommend Pool Maintenance Made Easy by John Brace to start (for sale here on Amazon). Do not underestimate making SURE you know your pool size. Many people don't, and I've had buyers of a new to them home be told by the sellers a volume 10,000 short because the sellers simply weren't aware. ANYWAY These pool tabs work great and are a great value. The test strips that come with it work really well too. Highly recommended, even if they don't come with the test strips.
