I love the design and feasibility of this product. It was nice that it only takes 120V. And the instructions were very very helpful for installing. Performance of this heater has been great so far after 4 months. I’m able to run a couple showers and the dishwasher and a couple of sinks. The water pressure does drop a little bit as that is a lot of load for hot water, but this heater works great for our needs, as that load is not a normal lineup we do. Our home is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath. Our electric bill also dropped about 75% and the gas bill did not go up that much due to the efficiency of this product. ... show more

Performs exactly as described. Our bedroom shares a wall with the garage where the water heater is installed so was concerned about noise but have not heard a thing. Kitchen is 50+ feet away and the water there heats up faster than the tank heater it replaced. I am thinking some of the other concerns that were posted may be due to poor installation? If I could give it a zero start I would. It’s been 18 months since I installed this unit and here’s my personal opinion. I will never suggest buying a tankless heater unless you have a backup at your property. This Rheem unit failed with light use at18 months old, warranty and product support from Rheem was poor. I registered this unit when purchased but when I called about the warranty they told me someone at a different address owned it. Took 2 days, 3 emails and a half dozen phone calls (2 of which I was on hold for over an hour when the tech said I’ll be right back), at this point I am finally speaking to a tech troubleshooting. After some time and troubleshooting they told me I needed a new igniter and flame rod, I would get it in 3-5 days. Another 24 hours and I get another email saying they don’t have a part and call them. After calling them they tell me to find it on my own and they will reimburse me (thier price not what I can find). So at this point I only found one on eBay today (no hot water for 3 days. Which will take a week to get here if it is actually in stock. But I’ll digress. I don’t believe this is the fix either. They said it was the flame rod, but There is no flame, so how can it be the flame rod. It only does its job if there is a flame. After the holiday I will go buy a hot water tank, and install it. These manufacturers selling us junk these days it’s a shame. ... show more

If you put it in yourself then they find any way they can to get out of the warranty, I had mine for about 10 months and it gave me a code 11, so I cleaned it out and then it gave me a code 14 which is overheating and it was still cold, They do have a good support team at least they know how to read the directions they have in front of them and if the company would think about it they could put all of that on their website, and save a bunch of money, they come to the idea that the board went bad, ang they had me send pictures and some information on it. And they said that the warranty was no good because I put the inlet vent to be open to basement, they said that it had to be coming in from outside, I know that is bull, but they said that the board would cost over $300 but I wouldn't be able to get one until around a month. know you tell me. What I did I put 2 and 2 together and game to the idea that, it might have cost me another $500 to $1000 to have someone install it or maybe just buy one every year if needed, If I have trouble with the second one I'll change to a different company, or go back to a tank, never had any trouble with those other than leaking tank, but they do last longer. ... show more
