This is our third or fourth one. It works great for our small pool/spa. The plastic eventually fails from sun and chlorine tablets. We can fit two 3 inch chlorine tablets in the basket.

So in the last 6 months I have bought four chlorinators one of which was this product. The other three were all the same they're the classic one that we all grew up seeing. Go look at yours right now and I'll bet you the cap has broken tabs on it and then look at one hopefully if one is left and you can see the little holes in it if you tilt it to the side so it's made to break and it does that just perfectly. This one thank God, does not have those little holes on the tab and the clips on the cap that lock it in place or twice as big and durable as the other product. It's not made to break in a few weeks so you have to keep ordering them I will never buy a different kind other than this one ever again. This is a very affordable floating chlorine dispenser and it works just fine. I do not know how durable it is, but at this price it is a good deal even if it would last just a year.

6 month review It still works good and is holding up well, except when you only have 1 tablet in it. It flips over and stays upside-down almost daily. We only run 1 tablet in it in the winter as the water temp is 50-65 (we don't swim that cold). I'll be looking for a taller one...
