  • Easy to use
I liked this incubator overall. It feels like it is cheaply made though. But I liked it still. There's a turner inside that rolls eggs several times daily, so I don't have to do the turning myself manually. Water is also added automatically so I don't have to check moisture or refill it. The bright candler lamp helps me easily see developing eggs without needing to open the incubator as often, so there's less disturbance. The digital temperature screen is clear and super accurate. I've hatched 7 eggs at once and they've all been kept exactly at 99.5 degrees F the entire time thanks to the thermostat. For hobby or small farm use, this incubator is perfect. It's easy to use, hatches chicks safely, and is well made to last for years. I recommend it to all my friends who want their own home-grown chicks. It worked well in my case. ... show more

  • Great for first time users or small scale use
It's a basic incubator that will serve great for those that aren't looking to spend an arm and a leg on an incubator and that plan on using it for small scale hatching for their homestead or farm. The incubator holds its temperature well and I love that the water can be added from the exterior which won't cause a drop in temp from the door being opened. The size of this incubator is also perfect as it doesn't take up a ton of space like others I've tried in the past and it's pretty light. For an incubator of this price it's also very nice to see that it has the ability to turn eggs so that's a huge plus. The only thing I wish were included with this incubator is humidity controls which depending on what type of birds you plan on hatching it can be absolutely critical to include. If you plan on hatching chicken eggs, ducks and quail then going with this one will be worth it and you shouldn't have much to worry about. But as someone who has bred rare exotic parrots and birds this may not be the best one to use for them since humidity requirements for certain species is a key factor in hatching. Best of luck on your hatching journey! ... show more

I recieved this through the Amazon Vine Program. This egg incubator works great. Its easy to assemble and works quickly and provides a properly heated environment for egg hatching. This is a great product for a great price.

  • Modest Incubator with Increased Capacity
The media could not be loaded. TL;DR; 16 large eggs is a stretch but possible; Oscillating vs Rotating design; Temperature Control only. We use these simple incubators on a small scale homestead farm operation. We have a few of these low end incubators. We enclose them in an auxiliary enclosure in a barn so they don’t have to fight the big range of temperatures but these are designed for indoor use. This version has an oscillating action and getting 16 eggs into is is possible but a stretch. It certainly has more capacity than our 12 egg rotating versions of the same. The control on this is only temperature there is no humidity monitoring nor countdown timer so you need a careful calendar to know when to stop the rotations. Stopping rotation is by removing the egg frame that oscillates back and forth. I don’t expect much from these very basic incubators. Given the extra capacity of this one and the flexible egg tray layout I think this one is a pretty good value. Better versions include a timer so you can stop egg rotation a few days before hatching and a humidity monitor but this will get the job done and you should be checking your eggs regularly anyway. It is a bit tricky to get the lid on and also engage in the egg roller but there is a test function to verify it’s working. No nasty surprises and decent value for a modest incubator. 5Stars ... show more

  • Only holds 12 regular size chicken eggs
We have regular size chicken eggs, some would be classed as medium and others would be large. This incubator will only fit 12, and I was pretty disappointed by that so docking a star. It fits 9 of our duck eggs. It is easy to set up and use, it can pretty much run itself, you just have to fill the water bottle occasionally. It did a great job maintaining temp and I assume humidity although there's no guage for that. But we hatched the majority of eggs the first go around. We are hoping to try it with quail next, I'm interested to see how it does with those. ... show more

  • Better Air Circulation
I have been following reviews on a number of small egg incubators. There is a problem with some of the popular rectangle models, even in this same brand, where the air circulation is weak and the temperature gradient within the incubator is very big. The temperatures can range quite a bit depending where the egg is in the tray. I did some testing myself and found gradients up to 7 degrees. I couldn't believe it. So, I did the same test on this model and it performed much better. Everything was within a degree or two. A very big improvement. This alone should improve the hatching rate. The overall quality is good and the auto fill system for water is nice, but it pretty much assures high humidity. I also find that to reach the 99-100 degrees I need, it is necessary to use the styrofoam packaging as an insulator for the incubator. Right now the room temperatures are in the mid to high 60's, perhaps I can pull them off later as the weather gets better. Overall, this is a nice hobbyist incubator. Update: We had our first hatch of quail eggs and it all went great 12 chicks hatched out of 15 fertile eggs. This is a great percentage for the variety of quail we were incubating. ... show more

  • Chicken Egg Incubator
I think this is a great incubator for beginners. This is one of the lower priced incubators I've gotten. You get what's advertised, and you definitely get what you pay for in this situation. It's not as air tight as I'd like it to be, but it looks like a pretty decent incubator. It doesn't hold a whole lot of eggs, but so far it seems to be consistent in the temperature. ... show more
