I received this TV and it worked great for exactly 1 day. The screen flickered and turned off. When I turned the TV back on it automatically dims so low it's difficult to see. I spoke with Samsung support and they did a remote session to try and resolve it and were unable to and suggested I request an exchange with Amazon. I have received the worst customer support I have ever had from Amazon during the process. When speaking with a manager, I was actually hung up on and had to call back again. At this moment I am out $1300, don't have a working TV, and still don't have a resolution apart from waiting for Amazon to see if they can replace it. ... show more

This Mini LED TV by Samsung is incredible. I was coming from an LG OLED TV that suffered burn-in, so I had high expectations for the Mini LED tech in this TV. Upon setting up the TV, it's definitely not as good in terms of black levels, but I was still incredibly impressed. The picture quality is sharp, colors are vivid and black levels are the best I've seen, outside of OLED TVs. The black levels are very black with very minimal blooming. Samsung did a wonderful job with their local dimming tech. HDR performance is really the star of the show here. Colors really pop and dark scenes are dark without losing the details while bright scenes are incredibly bright. Much more brighter than my older OLED TV in HDR. I have my older gaming PC with an RTX 3090 hooked up to this TV for gaming and the performance is really impressive. The colors are still great while the 144hz refresh rate makes using the PC and gaming very responsive. Especially for FPS games. You have to enable gaming mode to get the correct resolution and refresh rate. Gaming on this TV is very enjoyable and immersive. If you are looking for a TV with incredible black levels and HDR performance but are worried about burn-in from OLED, this model from Samsung makes for a great option. It's definitely pricey, but the performance from the local dimming and HDR more than makes up for it. ... show more

There are two parts to to this review, the TV itself, and the software. I'll do the TV first so we can start off with the good stuff. The picture quality is far above what I was expecting, the color really pops and gives you lots of options to tweak it to your liking. I prefer a cooler picture so I was able to achieve something I like. I would 100% recommend following a color calibration guide to get this to your preference. It's very bright, but not by default. It defaults you to a sort of energy saving mode that makes it very dim and washout out so I really recommend turning that off if you can. Once you do it really pops. I notice the blacks are very deep and don't tend to bleed into grays like a lot of lower end tvs. Not quite OLED but very good, seriously. The audio quality is good enough but if you want something home theater you will need to get like a 5.1 system or at the very least a sound bar, the build it speakers are a little basic. I really like this TV for gaming! Smooth input with no noticeable input lag, high refresh rate... Could honestly almost use this for anything gaming outside of competition. Software is a nightmare. I don't mean the app you can download, I mean the operating system running on the TV. You can tell from the initial setup that the TV is asking you for too much. I don't want this to be the center of my life, I just want to watch something or play a game. You actually cannot set it up, as far as I can tell, without your phone. You are presented a QR code that you must scan and follow a complicated process for to even progress. Navigating to any app is a joke, even just turning on the TV is annoying, it literally just picks something random and starts playing a show when you turn the TV on. Why? Give me some agency and let me choose what I want to watch. Very annoying. If you get this, pair it with a Fire Stick or a game console and use that as the operating system, ignore the built in one as much as possible. That brings me to one more complaint though. There is no button on the remote to switch input devices. This is a deliberate choice to force you back to the OS to do something like switch from one game console to another, or to a tv stick or something. Just awful. The interface should be basic and easy to navigate, I'm not getting a TV to spend time in the TV operating system.. ... show more
