I needed something to separate fiber from co-mingled recycling for my home office and this works very well. It is not big enough to fit the many cardboard boxes, those will go straight into the recycling bin in the garage, but works great for all the junk mail, packaging and everything else that needs recycling. WARNING: when I recieved these they were absolutely stuck, one inside the other. My husband and I tried everything to get them apart to no avail. The manufacturer said they were suctioned together and I just had to slide something between them...nope. Anyway, I ended up at the kitchen sink pouring warm water between them until the outer bin filled enought to push up and out the inside bin. Worked like a charm. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The individual cans are small, but if you use them to separate food wrappers from plastic bottles, and then later, put them in a larger container, I found them very useful for that purpose.

I found these a little small for my at-home office - paperless offices are a lie. But these are great for the craft room. I liked this trash can combo SO MUCH I actually bought two more to give my CPAs. Not much larger than a single trash can, they sit easily beneath a desk and allow you to immediately separate everything into trash or recyclable with each toss.
