    • Foot rest ring NOT adjustable

Well, that ring it is adjustable in the sense that there's a knob you can turn to tighten it against the support column, which is made of slick plastic. However, It is not possible to tighten that knob sufficiently to keep the footrest in place. As soon as you release it, it slides to the bottom of the support column. That might be the right position for you, but for me, using this stool for intermittent sitting at a high standing desk, it is useless as a foot rest. I would be returning this stool if I did not already have a small footstool at the proper height for a foot rest, so I don't need the one that is ostensibly part of the stool. My other complaint is that if there is a catch or mechanism that secures the wheeled base to the support column, I can't find it, and the extremely minimal instructions don't show it. Basically, the column just slides into the hole in the center of the wheeled base. If you pick the stool up to move it, the base (and the foot rest ring) slide right off. This feels flimsy and lame, but I suppose nothing bad can happen if I'm just sitting on the thing. The stool seems comfortable enough, but I have only been using it for a day. My choices were limited by the need to have a seat that can adjust higher than many competing products, so I am going to stick with this one and see how well it works out. ... show more

I have a sit stand desk and wanted a chair that was easily adjustable. I also have cubital tunnel syndrome due to my old chair’s horrible arm rests so I wanted a chair without arm rests (though you can add arm rests). This fits my needs perfectly and seems to be made with good materials. Oh! One las thing. I’m super short so having an adjustable chair with a foot rest that also adjusts is a major plus for me! Great chair overall, the unit is durable and comfortable but it is very easy for chair to come unlocked and set to lean back, which at the height of these chairs is a bit unnerving. Have put a zip tie on the lever to keep it from come unlocked.

This drafting stool is easy to assemble. I could not adjust the footrest ring, but I am tall and needed it to be in the bottom position, so that wasn't a problem.
