  • Don’t waste your time or money on this
Awful product. I don’t know how this ever made it out for sale online. The index of the instruction booklet doesn’t coincide with anything that it says on the page that is numbered. There is no wiring diagram, though the index says there is there is no exploded view, though the index says there is. Bottom line, though after installing the thing it doesn’t work. Seeing that there’s no competent instructions I relied on YouTube to guide me. There are so many different tankless water heaters that that wasn’t a home run. I’m sending this one back for a refund junk. Stay away from it ... show more

  • DEFECTIVE DON'T BUY!!!
Pressure relief valve is defective. Keeps running A LOT of water. Now we have to cap it off. They shouldn't be selling this with so many reviews about the defective valve! I didn't realize that when I bought it.

  • So far so good.
I haven’t really got a lot of use out of it yet, but I just installed it and so far so good. My old water heater (with a tank) was larger, so I had to make a faceplate to frame out the new water heater and fill the gap. When I installed I cut and taped off the old 110 volt lines as this heater doesn’t make use of those lines. I only needed the positive and negative coming from the 12 volt battery system. I needed to disconnect all power to the camper and use a multimeter to check for continuity between the camper frame and the old 12 volt lines to find the negative. Then I connected the battery, set the multimeter to DC and found the other line that was sending 12 volts (the positive line). You will need to put one lead of the multimeter on the negative you found earlier then tap the other lead to the other lines to find the positive. Don’t forget you probably have a switch in the camera that turns on this line, so you’ll have to turn it on to find the positive wire. *Edit, one more note. You’ll see a lot of videos online of people installing tankless water heaters in campers and most of them are telling you to install a pressure relief valve on the hot side. This unit comes with one already installed in it. Disclaimer, if you don’t know what you are doing or are not comfortable doing the work yourself then take it to a professional. ... show more

  • Struggles with flow of propane input and water input not recommended for low flow RVs
You have to have a separate dedicated propane line and it has to be a bigger propane line than the average one that set up because when running your heater or gas stove at the same time does not give sufficient propane to the unit to operate and it requires a very high water flow That's the other downfall this is not set up for low water flow you have to have almost closer residential flow for to function right if your bathroom shower is further away from the water heater recommendation is you need to install a bigger water line to allow more water flow than your average water line because once it reaches the water head it's not sufficient water pressure in this operates by water pressure sensitivity and it's a major problem because it won't heat up and turn on you might also have to install a water pump on the main inlet water line for additional support to give sufficient water pressure ... show more

  • Great unit if you're handy. Not flawless, but definitely worth the money.
Not nearly as bad as everyone howls about. With a 2.5gpm 45 psi pump, I get endless hot showers. I did remove and cap the relief valve, even before installation. Wiring was simple, hookup was simple, operation works well. I will note, however that if you're doing this in a pull-behind with "grille style" LP tanks, you probably will have issues with LP pressure.. this unit shuts down if pressure is too low. If I try to run the furnace and water heater at the same time, the water heater shuts down. It's not a huge deal as it's just a camper. Frankly, for half the price of other options, it works great and I used half as much LP as I usually do in 3 days of camping. I will note that the unit is NOT the same width as the stock unit, and required the addition of a trim panel to fill the hole. I will also note that I replaced the crap plastic sink faucet with a household version from Menards in order to get enough hot water flow to activate the heater.. The 30 year old winnebago faucet wouldn't kick on the hot. Not upset about having decent water flow in the kitchen. Bottom line, it's not as set-and-forget as a tanked water heater, but it works just fine and uses a LOT less gas. ... show more

  • Avoid
I originally chose this item to do what I needed and the price. We got the water heater installed and did not work. We had a replacement and that unit did not work so we thought it was on our end. We had an electrician and plumber on both units come out and check and the units were bad I would not waste your time and money. On top of that there is no manufacture to contact on the unit as it's a made-up brand that amazon sells. ... show more

  • Buyer beware the issues
I bought this as a replacement for my 6 gallon tank water heater in my travel trailer. The water heater fits the space like it should but beware the relief valve leaks constantly. I installed it after the 30 day window for help from Amazon and I could not get any help with getting a replacement relief valve. It only got 2 stars because it does work correctly but it leaks constantly. I had to put a 1/2" cap on it for now as I cannot find a replacement for the relief valve. Also I had to take the old spring and door latch off of my old water heater and put it on the new one as it was no good. The hardware is already starting to rust and is definitely not stainless. If I had it to do over again I would have spent the money to get one that was made right. ... show more
