I had been having problem with smell in the front loading washer. I didn't know that we have to keep the door open so that the water dries, looked online and the suggestion was to leave the door a little open to dry the water after every wash. Saw good reviews of this thing and bought it. It has magnetic base that sticks to the washer well. The arm is flexible so you can set it as you like. But there is one problem, the arm screws on the magnetic base. So, while moving it to open the washer door etc. if you twist it counter clock wise, it unscrews and become loose from the base so you have screw it again. Let's face it, the easiest way to ruin a front loader is to keep the door shut when not in use. Front loaders have to dry out between uses or they develop a horrible musty-moldy smell inside the machine and on the rubber seal. This little gadget is ingenious. It's bendable and formable to configure any way you want. Very strong magnet to keep in place. My laundry room is located in a hall pass through between garage and house, I hate it, there's never enough room to keep the door open on my front loader, but this gadget keeps the door blocked open about an inch (or as much as you want) enough to allow air to dry inside, and still gives me enough room to get through the small space without any problems.
