This is not simply a plug and play,re routing the gas line is simple with flexable copper line,wiring is very easy,but be ready do do a lot of work re routing water lines,normal tanks have inlet and outlet on the same side one high one low,this unit the cold inlet is on the lower left side the hot outlet is on the upper right side,opposite corners,if you want check valves there are nipples already there so old check valves will not work without a female to female adapter,have extra pex pipe on hand and pex fittings,elbows,tees,and couplings,and fittings to connect to tank,if you dont once you remove old tank,you could be screwed if you dont have a store near by that deals pex,hope this helps

Ahhh, the sweet relief of a nice, long, hot shower! No more worrying about running out of hot water! My RV came with a cheap Dometic 6 gallon hot water tank. You learn to take showers faster than the navy with that thing! It was Super easy to swap out my original unit with this one, fit right into the hole, all you gotta do is unplug everything from your old unit and plug it back into the new unit. I love the retro look of the outer plate, and it comes with a hard-wired digital control panel that I'm gonna install on the bathroom wall so that you can control the heat right from the shower.
