    • worked well for 2.5 months, then stopped
instructions a little difficult to install, leaves a trace amount of space for a paw to push the thin metal door up, but worked efficiently for 2.5 months, suddenly stopped lowering the gate. I changed the batteries and didn't help. There appears to be a circuit board part that is supposed to slide to release the string, and that won't slide anymore, I have to manually push the part over for it to work, or hold the RESET button for the gate to lift. Judging by others comments the company has terrible customer service or I'd be more inclined to reach out for help. ... show more

    • It’s a game changer!
This product is a game changer for backyard chicken owners! We had been wanting to get chickens, but I was holding off because of the commitment required to let them out at dawn and get them back in before dark. I did lots of research on automatic doors and this product has the best of everything, at a decent price. It is battery operated, can be set to use daylight sensor, timer, or a combination of both. It was super easy to install and had great instructions for installation and for setting the clock/timer. My only hesitation was that it seemed a little small and I was worried about our larger breed chickens, but they have had absolutely no problem popping in and out! ... show more

Picked this up back in Sept of 2020 and it was working fantastic, till we started getting freezing temperatures and it wouldn't open in the morning. Even with fresh batteries and a few silica packs in there to make sure there is no moisture it just doesn't work 80% of the time when it gets bellow 30 F outside. ... show more

It has been over a year since I purchased this!! I love it, my chickens love it, and I am purchasing one for my mother. It does take some cutting skills to make a hole for the door but otherwise super easy. The battery life is about 9 months. It makes my life so much easier; I do not need to worry about locking up my free-range birds at night nor do I have to be home to let them out in the morning. It's given me freedom and have kept my birds safe from predators. 10 out of 10 will recommend 100% of the time. ... show more

This is a great door, good design, and easy to install! I read some the reviews and was not sure since they were mixed. I received the door and it was pretty easy to install (3o minutes). I was concerned about it being predator proof at the bottom of the opening. It includes a metal piece at the bottom that covers the lip so predators can't get under the door to lift up. Very easy to program. You can set it to open and close based on time or light (not both). It took a couple of days for the girls to get used to but not they are in the coop before it closes every time! I would recommend this door to anyone. ... show more

    • Doesn’t close. This is my second one, neither worked. No customer service or manual.
This does not work! I’ve bought two thinking the first one broke and neither of them close at night. There is zero customer service and not even a product manual.
