I got this because it's the size I needed, with side trays that swing down. Price wasn't a consideration, but it's pretty cheap. I've now had it 3+ years and it's still going strong. As headline, I could wish the charcoal tray wasn't so flimsy, and the cover needs to be replaced, it's disintegrated after 3 years being outdoors fulltime, but those are acceptable issues. The charcoal tray can be raised and lowered, the swing out arms make fitting it in my storage spot easy. After 3 years outside, aside from the cover, it's still going strong. After opening the box and seeing all of the parts, it did look a bit intimidating to put together.....and I was really impressed how they got all of the parts and the packing material to fit in the box! Two of the sheet metal pieces were slightly bent right out of the box but I was able to straighten them out enough to make it work. I've used it once and it grills nice. I like that you are able to raise and lower the charcoal tray to adjust the distance from the grilling surface. I'm satisfied with the purchase. The only negative is that there is no way to remove the black tray that the charcoal sits on in order to clean it out. You either have to make all of the ashes fall thru the holes to the removeable tray below or get a little brush and dust pan and sweep them up. All in all, I'd buy it again. ... show more

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! THEY USE METAL SO THIN, THE NUTS PULL RIGHT THROUGH. YOU'LL NEED LOTS OF WASHERS AND LOCK WASHERS OF YOUR OWN. The very first thing to do in the instructions is to make sure you have ALL the parts. THAT alone takes 40 minutes (a hundred parts). Then it says to screw on the legs first (with ONE screw each), but there's nothing to hold them upright, so the legs flail around and yank the nuts right through the metal, destroying the screw holes and rendering the entire grill unusable WITHOUT THE LEGS! Also, as some had said here, the instructions are very vague/cryptic, making it a very long and arduous task to decode and assemble…IF ASSEMBLY IS AT ALL POSSIBLE (and I have a MASTER'S Degree in Engineer). Also (oddly enough) the charcoal tray is much smaller than the grated, so how do your steaks and burgers all get over the coals?? The wind blew it over and all the ash from last grilling last year when all over everything. It’s a mess! PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! ... show more

This particular unit must have been in a train wreck! After contacting both Amazon and Royal Gourmet, I accepted the unit. It took me three hours to put it together because I had to straighten out so many pieces to get them to fit. I am very pleased with the way the unit turned out! Used it for the first time tonight and it met all my expectations! Unless I were to point out the damaged parts, no one would ever notice the problems. I believe it is an exceptionally well built and designed grill and will serve me for many, many years! I would certainly recommend this company and unit. Many wonderful features most don't have! The basic picture instructions virtually have no words and the size of these instructions are extremely weak at best. When I had found I had parts left over, I had to disassemble and then reassemble again. Provider could have spent a little more time and at least added a few words to help explain. They wanted $99 dollars to assemble, but for many of us self-sufficient assembly inclined folks would rather do it ourselves, but it appears that if we assemble they include the provided instructions to discourage us. The grill, when finally properly assembled, wobbles terribly, making me feel like it's quality and durability is lacking as well. ... show more
