After opening the box and seeing all of the parts, it did look a bit intimidating to put together.....and I was really impressed how they got all of the parts and the packing material to fit in the box! Two of the sheet metal pieces were slightly bent right out of the box but I was able to straighten them out enough to make it work. I've used it once and it grills nice. I like that you are able to raise and lower the charcoal tray to adjust the distance from the grilling surface. I'm satisfied with the purchase. The only negative is that there is no way to remove the black tray that the charcoal sits on in order to clean it out. You either have to make all of the ashes fall thru the holes to the removeable tray below or get a little brush and dust pan and sweep them up. All in all, I'd buy it again. ... show more

I LOVED this grill until the second time I s Used it. All the coating/paint is peeling off both the inside and outside! I can’t believe it! What the heck?!? Updated: I reached out tot he company through the link provided and they are the nicest people! The offered a refund or a new grill and I took them up on the new grill since I love it so much. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! THEY USE METAL SO THIN, THE NUTS PULL RIGHT THROUGH. YOU'LL NEED LOTS OF WASHERS AND LOCK WASHERS OF YOUR OWN. The very first thing to do in the instructions is to make sure you have ALL the parts. THAT alone takes 40 minutes (a hundred parts). Then it says to screw on the legs first (with ONE screw each), but there's nothing to hold them upright, so the legs flail around and yank the nuts right through the metal, destroying the screw holes and rendering the entire grill unusable WITHOUT THE LEGS! Also, as some had said here, the instructions are very vague/cryptic, making it a very long and arduous task to decode and assemble…IF ASSEMBLY IS AT ALL POSSIBLE (and I have a MASTER'S Degree in Engineer). Also (oddly enough) the charcoal tray is much smaller than the grated, so how do your steaks and burgers all get over the coals?? PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! ... show more

one thing i dont like about it is the smoke stack. it is not neccessary. it just gets in the way of a cover. i will remove this smoke stack and put a flat piece of aluminum, bend it to fit and install the top exhaust flap on that. without the uneccessary smoke stack its a much cleaner look and easier on the cover. one thing i like about it is i can remove the smoke stack unlike some other grills that comes welded to the top. ... show more

I did not receive a damage product as others have indicated. I will say that the grill is flimsy. Cheap light metal. Wasn’t too difficult to put together. Makes charcoal grilling a little easier with the charcoal tray, clean out tray and the charcoal tray crank handle. Im a. Avid smoker. Didn’t buy this to smoke food but I will try it. It’s not really set up for smoking unless you know what you are doing And the metal of the grill is a little too thin to hold heat. Nice and compact for the deck as the attached sides fold down.
