This is was a gift for my honey. He wasn't sure if he would like it. He asked was it car parts in the big heavy box. I laughed at him but he still didn't attempt to put it together after taking all the parts out of the box. It sat for 2 days after delivery. So my daughter and I started working on it. We didn't pay close attention to the positioning of the legs. So we had to go back to the step after we had just come to securing the bottom half of the grill in place before we realized that we messed up. My son then came to help out. We realized after correcting the legs that securing the bottom half means don't screw a screw completely in until all other screws have partially been screwed in. My honey finally made it in and smiled from ear to ear and joined in after we accomplished much of it and still had a ways to go we skipped no steps. This item gave my family quality time while working on this small project. We are waiting for him to fire it up to tell you how the experience is. The were extra screws as well. I bought this smoker since it was really affordable and I wanted a duel smoker. It arrived in a big box and once I opened it and found the instructions, it was pretty easy to assemble it. Just need a Philips screw driver and and adjustable wrench. From start to finish, assembly took about 40 mins. If you're not good at putting things together it might take a few mins more but overall, easy to set up. I'm happy with the overall size and can't wait to start smoking ribs, tri tips and chicken. I do recommend this smoker for beginners and for those who are looking for a low cost alternative to the high end smokers. ... show more

This was easy to assemble and has been a major asset to us since purchasing. It's beautiful redwood features make it a handsome addition to any patio. You can use it for charcoal or wood. It has various grates at different levels so you can actually cook a whole entire meal at one time.
