This is a solid buy for the price. I prefer charcoal over propane any day. I haven't used the smoker part of it yet, but the steaks, burgers, and chicken all came out amazing. I bought this grill and ended up having to gift it to my neighbor because we moved and didn't have the space to take it with us. If you're an avid/pro griller, I would spend the money to get a better grill even though this does the job. But if you're a beginner or intermediary like myself, this is perfect. I had no issues with it whatsoever. I cooked several briskets, fish, burgers, etc. Came out great. Once we're in our new house I will be buying this grill again. This was a quick, inexpensive replacement grill for for my gas grill that had seen better days. So far it has been great. I have not tried to smoke anything on it yet though. It showed up pretty banged up from shipping so I don't know if it was the packaging not being sufficient or if the delivery guy just kicked it all the way to my door, but I was able to pound out the dents with a rubber mallet. Once the metal was straightened it only took about 45 minutes for my wife and I to put in together. It was very easy. The size is decent for grilling multiple items, and closing the chimney gives the food a nice smokey flavor without actually smoking the meat. I do wish that the grill grates were not flush with the opening of the grill though. Food does have the possibility of sliding right off the grill and onto the ground, if you are "chasing it" with the spatula. Overall, it seems to be a good charcoal grill. ... show more

This grill is fantastic!! It's cheap and it's a great way to break into the world of smoking. You'll probably see a lot of reviews about this thing leaking smoking a having trouble holding a temp. They are all correct. This grill comes in 1000 little pieces, which means you'll be assembling it yourself, which also means there are no good welds/seals to keep all the smoke in. HOWEVER, when I assembled my grill sealed every single seam and bolt hole with a sealant called lavalock. It's basically a high temp caulk sealant. I also added high temp felt seals to the firebox door and main grill door. Those extra mods added $25 to the cost of the grill but they made all the difference! My grill doesn't leak smoke at all and can hold a temp like the best grills out there. I smoked short ribs in it for 5 hours and they came out amazingly. The grill only needed small inputs from me to keep the fire hot as the day went on and it burned it's fuel. This is an outstanding grill. It really is. You just have to know what you're getting into early on and spend the extra time to make sure it's properly sealed. Then you'll be grilling perfectly. I also saw a few other reviews that the paint might peel; those are all old reviews. I think the company changed their painting formula because my paint didn't peel even a little bit. Also, make sure you buy a cover (any cheap cover) and clean it out after every use so it doesn't rust. Any smoker you buy will rust if you leave it dirty after using it. I’m thrilled with this pit!! It came with all parts. My son is a handyman, and this pit didn’t go together very easily. After working on it for several hours, it finally came together easily. Diagrams instead of text were difficult, but end product was excellent with no parts or screws leftover.

Package came in a large rectangular box. . The grill and top was dented metal is really light like a poodle could run through it/ light wind will carry it away. Has numerous pieces took me almost 3 hrs to put together by myself. Sharp edges. I don't know how they expect little silver bracket things to hold the entire left and right wheel together from falling apart. Screws are not that durable keep feel like they're going to melt when I start cooking. If you like wasting your time let alone your money look no further. Keep thinking the entire grill will melt/dissolve due to the materials. ... show more
