  • Rosie, get your drill, a friend, and get to riveting! Rosie, get your drill, a friend, and get to riveting!
Size: 108in-168in Color: Silver
Great product, would definitely order again. I ordered Silver, which is shiny and quality, not a cheapy look / sprayed plastic. I used this across my bedroom wall to add softness, texture, and black out panels, but avoiding drilling holes in my bookcases / crown molding. It makes a huge impact on the feel of the room! Time to Install, What You Need: I installed it with a friend in about an hour. You’ll need a drill, 3/16 inch drill bit, hammer for the anchors, extra anchors in case you break one (it happens!), a screwdriver (electric is way easier), a ladder or step stool, a silicone jar opener or something to protect your fingers as you tighten the knobs (otherwise, ouch!), and something to catch the dust as you drill upward. I found that a wet paper towel over a small cutting board worked great to catch the sawdust. Use sunglasses just in case! I also found that a business card marked with the holes and taped to the ceiling worked just as well as measuring each time. Install Tips: Take care to place the supports in places that won’t interfere with where you want the curtains to slide - you can’t slide them past the supports. Also, hammer the anchors in gently - they will break if you’re working out anger issues - ha! And if you’re drilling into a stud, the anchors aren’t necessary, just screw in directly! I bought the longest option, up to 168” (14’) and ended up extending mine to a bit less, roughly 156” (13’), using only 3 supports (not 4), so I could slide the curtains all the way across to the middle or to each end. It’s sturdy, but the instructions do reccomend all 4 supports. I chose to face the “knobs” that tighten the height from the ceiling and the rod into place towards the wall, facing in, so you can’t see them, for a cleaner, less industrial look. I also chose to orient the ceiling brackets parallel to the wall, not perpendicular like the directions, with no adverse effect. Subtle difference, solely out of visual preference. See pics and video below! And if you haven’t yet purchased tie backs for your curtains, check your jewelry drawer...none of mine match, but they’re all gold, elegant, at no additional cost! And if you haven’t found the curtains you love on Amazon, I found mine from this little boutique “electronic bay” in the neighborhood. Ask for samimport-2011, he’s got lots of suggestions on color and length for your room for a great value. ;) Note, the white curtains in the photo are hung separately, on a spring loaded shower curtain between the bookcases. The only suggestions for the manufacturer: Functionally, make the knobs a bit thicker so they don’t cut into your fingers when you tighten them, and aesthetically, offer a brushed silver and a muted, brushed brass - more polished and high end look. Shiny silver still looks great though. Have fun! ... show more

  • Had help to install. Worked for our large 180 inch windows. Had help to install. Worked for our large 180 inch windows.
Size: 108in-168in Color: Silver
We hired a handyman to help install the rod. It took about 2 hours to properly measure, mark, install and adjust until satisfaction. Our apartment has large 180 inch wide by 120 inch tall, floor to ceiling windows. Rod, 168inch ($50), Two curtains, 100x108 ($50 each), Handyman ($170 flat fee) for a total of $320. Comparatively, a professional curtain service would start around $800-$1000 but only recommended if you are a homeowner and need a longterm solution. Our quick and dirty solution works fine for us as renters in Manhattan. It took us quite awhile to research rods and curtains long enough to cover our needs. Other individuals may have used two or three smaller curtains, but they won’t look as nice. We managed to install the 168 inch rod, and used two 100x108 inch blackout curtains - one on the left, and one on the right. To eliminate the gap in the center, we hung the right curtain with one ring crossed over the center support to properly create a seal. As pictured above. To minimize the gap on the bottom, we extend the ceiling brackets about 3 inches to their near-maximum length. Be sure to use a tape measure if you are planning to extend the ceiling brackets, or you may end up with a sloping rod. As shown in my picture above, there are no rods available on Amazon, or elsewhere (not even Home Depot) for a 180 inch wide window at a reasonable price. Your only options are getting a custom rod (not recommended if you are renting, as it will be expensive), or using this 168 inch rod and installing the fourth support bracket off to the side as shown in my picture. Our curtains are wide enough, so we currently hang them off the rod on the far left to properly cover the entirety of our window. Our curtains are 200 inches, window is 180 inches, and rod is 168 inches. Both curtains and rod are the maximum size available for purchase, unless you are willing to buy multiple small rods and curtains to use together. But it would be needlessly costly. As you can see, we have that rod-less space on the far left. I’ve messaged the seller RoomDividers to see if they have a solution or additional rod we can acquire to make the curtains flush. Until then, this temporary solution works just fine. ... show more

  • Great ceiling curtain rod
Size: 108in-168in Color: Silver
I needed two sturdy rods to hang curtains from the ceiling. I was going to go to the hardware store and buy the things I need to make them from scratch but then I saw this on Amazon and decided to purchase one to see if it would do the job. I am glad I did. The product is sturdy, I have no fears of it coming down. The one I ordered is the longest one they offer. It comes with four ceiling brackets and once they are attached there is no give in the rod whatsoever. The rod is telescoping and the one regret I have is that there is no way to lock the rod together once you get it to the size you want. However once you get the rod into the brackets they do lock onto the rod and secure it to the size that you set. I guess that I am just a belt and suspenders type of guy. Once I got the first rod up I ordered the second rod I need. This rod is much classier than anything that I could have put together from hardware sore parts. Also when I need to wash the curtains they will be very easy to take down and put back up. ... show more

  • Looks great and fairly easy to install
Size: 108in-168in Color: Black
These curtain rods are very nice. We are using them to hang privacy curtains in a community playhouse dressing room. They were very easy to install and the finish / color is very attractive. My only criticism is that the hanger is only held to the support by a tension screw. The most difficult part of installing them is making sure all the hangers are at the same height. The curtain rod is sturdy, yet fairly forgiving if you don't have the hangers exactly at the same height or in a straight line. If the screw loosens a little over time or by accident, the hook can slide down the hanger and your drapes will be a little uneven. I haven't had any problems at all, it's just possible concern. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product quality. ... show more

  • Fantastic Room Divider
Size: 108in-168in Color: Silver
These honestly look a little sketchy & unstable, but they surprisingly hold up 5 curtain panels without drooping across a room that's longer than 144". I inaccurately measured my room & the architect of my apartment is a master idiot so in a 2 bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom, the genius decided to put the bathroom in the master bedroom, which forces my roommate to walk through my room to use the bathroom. En-suite bathrooms are not a problem, but they are a problem when there are 2 bedrooms. Even if you have kids, it's just ... inconvenient. What about when you're entertaining guests? "Oh yeah, sure, walk right into my room to use the bathroom, friends!" IT'S JUST NOT COOL, OKAY?? Anyway, so I set up a really nifty room divider to create a makeshift hallway so that anyone who needs to use the restroom will not bother me & I have more privacy. I miraculously installed this all by myself on a chair (DON'T DO THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH, I AM SO DUMB SOMETIMES!!) & a drill (get a drill, like a real one...), but I would absolutely recommend that TWO people do this. I somehow managed to balance 3 rods (maybe it's all the yoga I do?) & screw them all in without killing myself, however, I'd really recommend that two people put this together. I'm not particularly skilled at furniture crafting (I can read IKEA instructions just fine though) & I might've put this together all by my lonesome, but you should really, really, get some help with this. They do their job, they look great, & they're kind of built ... well, kind of cheap, but also kind of not. I'm giving them 5 stars though. I can't find any other room dividers that are as long as theirs, so that alone grants them 5 stars. ... show more

  • Must buy! Must buy!
Size: 108in-168in Color: Black
Love this room divider! I had my friend install it for me, but it seems to be pretty sturdy so far. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is that the pieces do not fit snug together. They dont have any resistance against each other, so they move around a lot, which made putting the rod up a little tricky because they kept falling out of place. But once the rod was up, it doesnt really pose a problem. I would much rather the rod have some kind of twist together option or have some sort of grip so that the pieces dont move around so easily. Other than that, the product is great! ... show more

  • Great item, but the white bar's scratch and scuff way too easy for cost paid Great item, but the white bar's scratch and scuff way too easy for cost paid
Love the bar and the holders, it was easy to install and seems very solid once the curtain was put on. The overall look is very nice. The only issue is (and I am listing it at 3 stars due to this fact alone) was that if the bars touched our tile floor, leaned against the ladder or touched the other poles we bought the bar got scuffed. Little black marks all over. I know a lot of people wont be looking up at the bars, but for $50 a bar I really expected a higher quality of paint. Perhaps this is just an issue with the white bars, they do have other colors. The overall style and function is what I was looking for, I will just have to paint over the marks, just disappointed that I need to do that. ... show more
