Didn't have any rips or tears. Was pretty easy to follow directions to secure to the roof. Easy to adjust the straps during the travel. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing one!!

Good quality! Easy to install on our Dodge Journey suv! We went on a 4 hour drive and one of those days It rained very little and there was no leakage inside our stuff. Zippers are working fine and stayed zipped! We put a big tent a suitcase and a big camping tent everything stayed stable nothing broke. Good value for the money!

Drove a 1700 mile road trip with this loaded up, the antislip mat slipped off within the first couple hundred miles, with the clips it comes with you can only go about 45-50mph max before it tries to fly off the car and makes insane noises, I was able to do highway speeds after clipping it to the frame under my hood in front with my own ropes. It was still very noisy but I was able to do 80-85 mph for most of the way, had to slow down for significant wind tho. I did not have frame rails and did the under the door method. Gas milage was not too bad after securing it better so the front wasn't flipping up I was getting 24 mpg compared to my usual 29 mpg. All in all great value and will get the job down with some modifications and creativity.

This roof top carrier is all that I could have hoped for. It’s thick, durable and definitely rain resistant. I used this for a recent camping trip and was able to fit in a 10 foot canopy, 2 inflatable boards, 2 sleeping bags, an 8-person tent 2 queen-sized blow-up mattresses, and a duffel bag filled with clothing for 2 people for 5 days. This bag never slipped or slid around on the roof and the non-slip pad was easy to put on first. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to free up more space in their car.

I’d give it zero stars if I could because of an absolute lack of durability. I just bought this thing yesterday and got it all strapped down to my car & loaded this morning for a roadtrip from Texas to Florida. We weren’t even an hour from home (Central Texas) when one of the straps started loudly flapping; we pulled over and realized the yellow square that’s supposed to be affixed to the actual car carrier had come off. It had been glued on rather than stitched. Another two hours down the road and a giant hole ripped across the side above the zipper (not even along a seam). We had to stop and take everything down and cram it in the already full trunk. Aaanyway, don’t waste your money. I recommend going with a hard top carrier.

We fit one large suitcase a medium and a small with room left! So we were super happy with the size and the first leg of our roadtrip it rained like crazy and no water got inside! Straps did fine for the 9 hour trip but the second day one strap popped right off only an hour into the trip. That’s the reason for only three stars we made it the rest off the way (5 hours) with the five straps left.

Just got back from a trip to and from Oregon. Just over 2000 miles. This worked great. Drove through more than one storm since really high winds. No rain got in and no tears or rips. Spent quite a while at freeway speeds over 80mph and no issues.
