I have the Roku stick and this one is nicer, faster. Also features an ethernet jack plus a usb so you can connect your drive to playback local videos. My TV's app didn't support some newer apps and was also getting very laggy. So I bought this to use. The remote has the voice features to save you from typing, and has a usb-c plug to charge it. I was getting tired of my firesticks locking up and freezing. I got the ultra for the rechargeable remote and the USB port to play media from a thumb drive. So for this is much better than the firestick, however it makes me log into Prime and Netflix every time whereas the firestick did not. I can live with that as the performance is much better and I'm no longer yelling at the tv. Jellyfin works great on these and I haven't seen any apps I couldn't load yet.
